    Question variable power supply project

    Hi,
Im an F.E. Electronics engg. student. We have been given a Variable power supply project; i'm using an LM317 based circuit....

I want to know if there anything availabe which I can put on the box indicating the output voltage (e.g a small voltmeter ... like the one indicating the voltage on a stabilizer)? What do u call it?

You could use a voltmeter, a normal, moving coil analog voltmeter, or something like this if you wanted a combined a to d with 7 segment out.
