has any high schooler here had any luck with techy classes. i mean classes like computer science(anything, even the cisco networking stuff) or ap classes.
right now at my school there is nothing. no computer oriented classes(besides from a keyboarding and a m$ office class) or aps.
did any on successfuly get some of these things started? how did it go?
first i tried it unix-ify my school. i was told that my one redhat linux box out of a few hundred windows boxes would be the one to be rooted, along with be a all around security risk. and apparently all unixes want to be a dns server with no way to disable it, this will take down all of my schools networks. this is what the sys-admin told me, complete bull.
i have no idea what to do, im thinking of ap classes. i do have a teacher nice enough to want something like this(unfortunaly his qualified to double click and not much else). the classes might get a little attention but any other good things to go for (the engineering guys have first robotics, what do computer guys have?).
stuff like this would help for college, did you guys come up with anything to increase your odds?
