I was reading this and it occurred to me that this is the kind of speed regime necessary to acheive a SCRAM ignition, without all the fussing about that is currently the vogue with SCRAM tests, (HyShot, Hyper-X etc.).
Does anyone in the US know if this facility would be available for this kind of testing?

Perhaps - they do a great deal of missile and rocket testing over at White Sands Missile Range; so I'm sure that if the military was interested in testing these jets, and this sort of launch method really were suitable, they might be willing to do so. Interesting idea...
