well, im independent myself, but i saide with democrats over republicans
i'm an extremely independant person.
I defy categorization politically.
Libertarian.
Libertarian? Never heard of that?!
It's like a person that well....okay, imagine a person that wants as much liberty as possible without screwin' up things into anarchy. We want government and rules and stuff but only to the extent needed for protection and operation and so on.
you want pretty much a lasaiz-faire policy for pretty much as much as there can possibly be a lasaiz-faire policy for?
I'm kind of like that... i've heard of libertarians before, but i have never looked up what they actually were/represented....
> lasaiz-faire policy<
WTF is that?
lassaiz-faire is the "hands off" policy... you may have heard of it if you have studied the US economic history in which such a policy was adopted in the 19th century leading to such cacaphonies as Tammany Hall and the Tweed Ring.
wouldn't know... speaking of which... would anyone clarify this for me... i forget how we become a 'member' of a particular party... is it such that we follow our parents or something like that? tradition? i don't remember...
oh, and i'm lasaiz-faire to the point where i don't think i should have a say in the first place... and we all just relax and rest... so that's my hold...
FYI o' the day... we speak modern english, from middle english, from old english... and middle english was allowed to flourish and develope ixnay gov't imposition of french... [by which way, lasaiz-faire is such...] more power to the people...
hasafraggin shizigishin oppashigger...
I know I shouldn't be answering this, but that doesn't apply to me, but I decided to choose "independent", because there are also two main political parties in Colombia, and I'm very sure that Republicans and Democrats correspond to Liberales and Conservadores in one way or another. But even so, in Colombia, I'm independent, I'd rather go with the guy's Ideas than with the guy's party.

I'm Democrat but I'm not registered yet to vote.
There are lots of things such as capital punishment and
abortion where I stand republican.
Oops I didn't mean capital punishment, but Bin Ladden will
have to die.
The problem with voting (by party or individual) is power attracts the corruptible (read Frank Herbert). While campaigning, a candidate says one thing, then after elected the lobbyists get 'em, and they do something else. Politicians have no honor. They only care about the public’s perception of them.
Boy, I don’t sound cynical do I?
Something's fishy here.
