    I think I have Diabetes.

I'm serious. Earlier this week I noticed that my urine didn't have
a lot of color to it; it actually looked more like water than urine.
I didn't really think anything of it until now. I just did a search on
    Google for "colorless urine"...

It turns out that's a symptom of diabetes. I thought it was just
a result of drinking so much Diet Pepsi lately (about 6 cans/day).
But guess what else I found out... Yeah, that excessive thirst is
    also a symptom.

    I'm scared, I don't want diabetes. I hate needles, and I don't
want to spend the rest of my life injecting myself with insulin. I
don't care if I'll eventually get used to it - the point is, I'll be
diseased and nobody will like me. No woman will marry me because
she'll think our kids will inherit my colorless-urine disorder.

Then again, it could be Diabetes Insipidus, which may just mean
that my pituitary gland is screwed up (I believe this was the same
disease that was talked about in a very special episode of Home
    Improvement
. Remember, the one where Randy was afraid he
might die?) because I have a brain tumor.

I'm in a panic right now. I've also noticed that my vision hasn't been
as good as it used to be. I was thinking that was from staring at
my monitor so much lately... But guess what else. Yeah, another
    freaking symptom!

I think I'm going to go for a walk. Maybe I'll buy some Doritos and
Fig Newtons. Maybe a drive, clear my mind...

Oh jeez, what if my kidneys are failing? I don't have any siblings,
so I can't borrow one from a brother or something. And I'm kind
of, uh, between jobs right now (I don't care, feel free to tease me.
I've tried to get a job these past few months -- I've even been on
a few interviews, but nobody has hired me. There's nothing I
can do about it), so buying one is definately out of the question, too.

What if I go blind? Or have to have something amputated? I can't
    stand the thought of that.

Kids, live life to it's fullest. I was once like you: a young person
without a care in the world. Letting each day pass, not even thinking
that it could be the last. But now look at me. I'm on my death bed and
looking back at my 21 years of life, realizing that it has all been
wasted. Be something, kids! Live your life. Don't end up like ethic!!!

I wouldn't worry too much quite yet (especially if you don't have the erectile problems ). There are many other things that those symptoms could be from (even a combination of other things). If you are truly concerned, go to a doctor and get tests done.

Keep NOT thinking anything of it. That's actually healthy. If your urine is heavy with yellow you could have a bad diet, infeciton, or possible light bleeding somewhere in your urinary track.

    > -[x]Increased thirst and frequent urination (especially at night).
Maybe it's dry? Maybe your libido went crazy? Frequent urination, that could be, well due to a lot of fluid intake.

    > -Unexplained increase in appetite.
    That's always explainable.

    > -Unexplained weight loss or weight gain.
    A. Fast metabolism, a lot of excerise.
    B. A lot of eating and lack of excersise.

    > -Fatigue.
Spending a lot of physical energy without nourishment, proper sleep, and so on.

    > -Erection problems. (heh, I think not. )
Mental problems. Not being turned on. Other reasons..

    > -[x]Blurred vision.
    Abusing your eyes.

    > -[x]Tingling or numbness in hands or feet.
Bloodflow problems. Lack of sugar from just lack of nourishment.

    What have we learned?
Eat, and eat a lot. Get a lot of excersise. Have a lot of sex with a lot of different people and you'll be set.
The world is waiting. I must leave you now.

Dude, those are symptoms of a night out on the lash. Give it a few hours and you'll be complaining of a headache, dry mouth and wondering how all that mud got on your trousers.

    Classy!

Anyhow, if you are diabetic it is not the end of the world. I lived with a girl with diabetes for 8 yrs-she was ok and happy.

What about the other main symptoms-like low sugar causing blackouts, feeling groggy and tired etc. Do you feel better after a meal?

I think its in your head. Chill
    Such is life.

Go find someone with diabetes and get 'em to poke you with one of their needles and get your blood sugar tested...it might be insightful. Anyway, clear urine just means you're properly hydrated.

he's right, it's better to have colorless urine...yellow urine is basically a sign that your body is dehydrated, colorless simply means you have enough or too much water in your system...

...do a test...tomorrow, drink as many glasses of water as you can, not all at once, but instead of having a pepsi or whatever drink water, try to get in 8 glasses total for the day, and watch your urine, i guarentee that at some point in the day (if you arent peeing every 30 min.) you'll have a lot of colorless urine.

Your symptoms prove nothing. Get a glucose test.

Make an appointment with your doctor ASAP. Voice your concerns and see if they can do a test like Xei said. I am a diabetic and only found out after I went into a coma and woke up in the hospital. For a couple weeks before that I was very thirsty and drinking a lot of fluids and my vision was blurry. I was feeling very bad and just thought that I maybe had the flu or something. If you get tested and turns out to be nothing then you will be able to relax. Hoping it will go away when it could be something serious could get you KILLED! I have to give myself shots twice a day and I can tell you it sucks, but dying sucks more!
