    howdy,
1.3 Duron not so hot but it has alot of cool add ons.
    i'd say $500.00-$750.00
12 fans sounds awful noisy to me.

The loss comes with the processor and the video card. Everything else sounds great. If you can, spend the 80$ to get a good XP 2200+ and you could sell that for around a grand. If you can invest 80$ to get $200+, why not.

because the motherboard will (in most cases) not take the CPU even with a BIOS upgrade

the 12 80mm fans are so quiet i can only (and barely) hear the exhaust fan on top if the case is all together. And the only time i hear that is if i open the slide vent over it and let it turn on. Its designed to be very quiet.

The board wont take the bigger chip, but i can get 1.7 out of it steady. I did forget to list that its liquid cooled by an Ahanix Iceberg water cooler kit, if that makes a difference.

I stay with $700 - $750, that's what I would pay if I needed to buy this PC. I'ts not a bad PC, and a little thing, what kind of Memmory are you talking about? RDRAM?DDR?SDRAM? if some dynamic memmory, what Mhz?

I would, I personally would only be willing to spend about 650 for that.

if someone is willing to pay 800 for that, with that processor and a board that (might not) support anything as high at 2200+, then thats a good deal to you. Go for it.

Its too bad that the monitors aren't the same size and that the CPU and video cards suck. But with WinXP Pro and Office Pro? I'd pay 900 for that computer.

I say you buy a new CPU for it then all should be fine. To the average buyer, the CPU is the most important. (Of course, thats not precisly true...)

Why do you need so much cooling on a low-end computer like that? You could get by with the graphics card cooling, CPU fan + heatsink and one or two case fans. I got a Athlon XP 2000+ running with a CPU fan + heatsink, heatsink on the graphics card, and two case fans -- an inny and an outty. I run very cool.
