Why would a company release its source code?
Well, they're not making any money off of this almost 10 year old game, except the occasional bargain bin grab. It's good publicity, at the very least. id's released the code for a bunch of their games - Wolf3d, DOOM, Quake 1 and 2...Originally posted by Sean
