    Language Script..

How does you language script look like.. Never mind if it is english or english script...

The language script here looks like this

The first one is Kannada. The language of my state, The next one is Tamil the language of my home state, and the next one is Hindi the national language...
Actually in my country there are around 30 to 40 languages and each one have their own script..

And some of the western books i read consider most of these languages ancient.. Funny.. i know all these ancient language..

In sweden, apart from the 'english letters' a - z we have å, ä and ö (does that show up correctly? Probably not... )

å is an a with a ring above and sounds pretty much like o, but you open your mouth a little more.
ä is an a with two dots above, and sounds like the leading vocal in 'apple'.
ö is an o with two dots above.

    EDIT:

Vasanth, the 10:th and 11:th (among others) symbol in tamal is pretty much the same. How do you separate those?

Danish uses a - z although w is not considered a true letter in the alphabet. In addition there are...

Æ æ - an a and an e joined together, sounds like the vowel in "air"

Ø ø - an o with a line through it, sounds a bit like the vowel in "earth"

Å å - an a with a circle above it, sounds a bit like the vowel in "ought"

... of course that depends on how you pronounce those words.

Well, in portuguese there's not big difference, we use some signs like ~, ` and ^ on words. In hebrew all the letters are different...

I was trying to work out what my name would be, but I can't find a "d" in the Tamil characters.

Are the scripts written left to right or vice versa?

You can see different scripts adopted into UniCode here.

Doesn't that line belong to the o that is under it?
I did notice that the ending curve of the 11th symbol is a little more 'curvier', but when writing with a pencil, isn't it hard to see the difference? (little curve - longer curve, hard to notice)

You are right.. Confirmed it from my mom.. the curve is the different one.. And i have seen people write tamil as if they are doing some caligraphy work...

and adrianxw all the letters and sylabel are not here.. If i am right kannada has around 500 and odd characcters and tamil around 300 or something i guess.. So u need all those to finish writing your name

well although they might seem very similar to someone who has never written like that, it might be very easy for them to distinguish.

someone who hasnt seen english characters before might be confused telling a b from a p, or a q from a d, or e from o, i from l or 1, u from v, when you think about it, many of our characters are similar looking, you're just so used to seeing them that its easy to tell the difference.
"You can lead a man to Congress, but you can't make him think."
"The Grand Old Duke of York
    -He had ten thousand men.
-His case comes up next week."
"Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm schizophrenic, and so am I."
"A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing."

It's a pity it doesn't use the traditional script. I find many of the non roman alphabets most attractive.
