    >>As to the CIA advising the country, be more specific and provide proof.

So you are saying the CIA was never in Angola advising the rebels?

Look up Robert Hultslander, who served as CIA station chief in Angola from August to November 1975. He is reported to have said
"It was our policies which caused the destabilisation. Kissinger was determined to challenge the Soviet Union, although no vital US interests were at stake."

    >>And if your insinuating that GWB had something to do with the Savimbi assassination
No. I said that GWB changed Regans policy of support for the rebels. It was Chevron that supplied the Angolan army with arms.

    >>I am aware that the link I posted has some opinion in it. I was interested in the data/facts. I don't care even remotely about what one character in the country says.

So if I use YOUR link it becomes speculation? Why post it if you are only interested in facts?

    >>I'm wondering what it is that you think the US plans to do with the oil of Iraq.

I speculate that it will provide the US with cheap oil, hopefully initiating a new boom in the economy. This will allow GWB hold off the development of the Alaskan oil fields and allow him to deliver his tax cuts. Both politically motivated to ensure a second term. It also allowed the media to focus on an achivable goal in the war on terror. We know that OBL has nukes and can not be stopped if he wants to use them. Now we have had a clear victory in the 'War on Terror'. It gave the media a bad guy to focus on, one that could be clearly punished (after OBL was not).

It will also provide work for US corporations and if a US friendly regime can be established then it will give the US a vote in OPEC and the ability to control oil prices (as Iraq has similar surplus production to Saudi Arabia). Iraqs trade will also be returned to US$ from Euros and so stop OPEC from converting.

How much power would it give the US if it was to control oil supply/price to Europe?

Sunlight is a Timoresse oil field.

Australia redefined our ocean borders so we could claim 10% after we helped Timor gain independence.
But then we went into Iraq for a free trade agreement with the US. Australia (led by GWB's lap dog Howard) is no better, we just have a smaller impact as we are smaller.

    >>you got the wrong weapon.stinger
    Sorry, you are right.

    >>the war was a draw.

Who would have won if not for the intel and arms sold to Iraq from Russia, UK, France and US? (Including WMD from the US biolgical stocks and 64 'agricutural' spraying helecopters) See the Riegel Report for proof of this.

    Lets see liberators...

U.S. troops pulled out of a school in a farming community 40 miles west of Baghdad on Tuesday night, a day after their presence there sparked a deadly clash with hundreds of Iraqi protesters.
Demonstration had been staged to celebrate the withdrawal of U.S. troops from the school in the town, which the American troops had been using as base until Monday night's incident in which doctors said dozens of Iraqis were wounded.
Red Cross officials said killed at least 15 civilians and wounded up to 53 others. Among the dead were three boys under the age of 11, Red Cross officials said.

A good reason: It could be because of the protesters were toops of Saddam. Divide rule did not work well. Have to kill them all, just need little more time and coverage.

At last WMD found in Iraq

No UN weapons inspectors, (we are everybody) right time to implant evidence and emblame a seal in Iraq: "WMD found"

No one to verify. As delay as possible, that will help to understand that finding truth takes time, which seems understandable.

    Update(04/05/2003 WASHINGTON (AFP)):
"...Bush, speaking at his ranch in Crawford, Texas, insisted it was just "a matter of time" before US-led forces in Iraq find banned weapons of mass destruction, the reason the US-led coalition went to war in the first place."
.. "It's got tunnels, caves, all kinds of complexes. We'll find them, and it's going to be a matter of time to do so."

Comment: See.. It is the time he will find suitable to declare, as declared Beginning and End of WAR.

    Just a thought:
Who knows, may be SARS was implanted to achieve something in new frontier or another WAR? Who knows better about biological weapons than anyone? May be we will know after 20 years, from the source who did it?

They shoulda killed more... it was a protest/celebration for saddam's birthday - these were saddam supporters who made their way deliberatley to a US camp and became rowdy and gunmen in the crowd shot at the US troops who shot back... US troops showed the fresh bullet marks in the school building to prove it. 3 sides to every story - truth being the 3rd.

NO, we won't have to wait 20yrs we already know -- the chinese were developing SARS as a weapon and it infected some of it's troops who spread it ... rest is history.

Update: U.S. Troops Fire in Falluja, Two Dead. Wednesday when U.S. forces opened fire on a crowd in the town of Falluja, little more than a day after soldiers there shot dead at least 15 Iraqis.

    A good reason: As above.

[An Iraqi killed during an anti-U.S. protest is buried in a Falluja cemetery, 30 miles west of Baghdad, April 29, 2003. According to witnesses, U.S. troops shot dead at least 13 Iraqis during the protests. The bloodshed is sure to inflame anger at the U.S. presence in Iraq. Witnesses told Reuters the troops opened fire on unarmed demonstrators, but U.S. officers said their men returned fire after being shot at first. Photo by Ruben Sprich/Reuters]

Update: U.S. Troops Fire in Falluja, Two Dead.
This is the oldest trick in the book by mullahs.this is how they
do it to inflame the masses.Because misery loves company.
in order to inflame ppl, they need so called MARTYRS.

they create it by sending the excited public to the target(american
18 year old unexperienced(ppl control) marines).

then their agents incite the US soldiers to shoot back & hurt
some ppl. there you have it:

    MARTYRS.

Now the procession begins with a 7 day mourning(islamic tradition). 7 more days to incite hate.

I know exactly how its done first hand.i seen it in an earlier
    revolution.

    Refer to my earlier post:

    the mullahs in iraq are
busy organising & misleading the uneducated, naive
masses.Due to Saddam dictatorship there is no democratic
    institutions (parties, unions, commities)in Iraq.
The only organized institution left is the mosques.and mullahs
    are certaily using it(using it as their party HQ) to their best benefit.They work the best under disguise.like this;

"We're learning that, for example, that Tariq Aziz still doesn't know how to tell the truth. He didn't know how to tell the truth when he was in office, he doesn't know how to tell the truth as a captive," said Mr Bush.

Hmm.. but Mr. Bush knows, he even knows how to tell the lies polished like a truth.

Seems Mr. Tariq Aziz is still afraid/loyal of his president Saddam Hussain or he is telling the truth or Mr. Bush is still lieing and making the world fool. World is waiting eagerly to see another big lie from Mr. Bush. If WMD not found, lets see what US do .. scape from the idea and back to the idea of "Libaration for Iraq" which is already in dustbin or present another lie to proof.
