I would like to see that too. But generally I hope that after the war is over (assuming we win) we don't just go in a bleed the country of it's oil all for our own profit. That oil could allow all the people of Iraq including the Kurds to finally build a nice, decent first-world society free of oppression.
the pilot of the helicopter that crashed (the american one) was from my town. The first death of the Afganistan conflict was a guy from the town next to mine. $$$$ bush.

I think the invasion thus far has been run well.
Many Iraqis were seen shopping and conducting business today, a sign that the people feel safe amidst the bombing, which has been precise and low-impact on the city.
Less than 10 civilians have died too, and less than twenty coalition soldiers have died. I feel sorry for the Iraqi soldiers though, many of them may lose their lives in bunkers and in firefights with the US.
All in all, though, the US is playing their hand right, and Saddam may fall very quickly, allowing Iraq to resume with it's life right away.

Now, I feel sorry to see the face of Russian man/woman/kid, once it was a proud & glorious, they used to feel superior.

Yes, but not at a time when they need to be supporting our president, country, and fighting troups. Whether they like the war or not, when we are at war, we should not be opposing our own country. Sure, it would be nice if the Kurds would have their own country. But I wonder if Turkey will allow it and not start a war about it. Also Iraq and Iran have fought the Kurds. So one can wonder if it would be a good thing for stability to setup an independent Kurdistan right after the war in Iraq. It will take a lot of time.
In the Netherlands there live a lot of people from Turkey, I know a few of them and they all tell me that Turkey will start a war if the Kurds will be given a country. Kurdistan is rich of oil and will then become a wealthy country. The Kurdish parts of Turkey will want to become part of Kurdistan and fight Turkey to seperate their part of Kurdish-Turkey and add it to Kurdistan. That is why Turkey doesn't want the Kurds to become powerfull.
I agree with protesting against a war. I am against a war, removing Saddam Hoessein and his mass destruction weapons should be done in a peaceful way. But I will not be protesting against a war during a war, since in my opinion that will have terrible consequences for the Iraqi people. For example Saddam Hoessein will punish the Iraqi people who felt free and supported the allied armies and we all know that Saddam Hoessein has a bad reputation when it comes to punishment. And the Iraqi people who felt free will now be controlled by Saddam Hoessein again. They will feel the western world has let them down and will probably not give much support when in a following operation the western world will try to free them.

Hello! Everybody!
Again I am writing this thread which is not programming related but I thought it should be in this board not as a programmer but more than a programmer as a human, as a citizen of this only warm planet Earth.
I know that no international community based writing i.e. attacking community sentiments is allowed here. You may consider that this is one of them which are not any programming related things or of any enjoyable occasion.
But one thing I must say that we are may be programmers, engineers, web developers, or even student but we are not out of this world, this society. All of us know what destruction can be done by the war. It doesn’t give us anything it can only take. It takes human lives, takes son from the lap of mother, removes smile from the kids, throughs rose from the hand of a little girl. Oh! Sorry of course it gives us many things! It gives us tears in the mother’s eyes, flowerless gardens, lifeless bodies, trampled roses, bloods all over the floor, few pieces of brains, hands, legs, coffins in the yards and many more things. Not only during the war but also after the war there remain more pathetic sceneries – Running children for food, for water, crying babies looking for his dead mother, few are walking with the help of a stick after loosing their legs, boy looking at his broken cycle once he played with it, father looking at his collapsed house where he lived with his happy family, some are searching for their relatives, some are crying loosing their friends, school boys have lost a year, young generation have lagged a lot from the current age. Oh! I can’t write more.
This is the month when our liberation war started; though we hadn’t seen the war but we have heard form our parents about the destruction of war, about the face of the killer war, how it plays with human lives, how laughing living faces become a simple ball of flesh. No, I don’t want to see these in any country, in any area of this world.
We all know there are many peace loving people in this world; they all are protesting this war of America against Iraq, against the humanity. I am one of them. I don’t hate any country or any of the people; I hate their acts which are against innocents, against humanity. Yes! I am with the same tone with all over the world’s peace lovers! I hate war! If there remains no people, no children, no next generation, then for what we are here? Whom we are programming for?
From the programmers community I am protesting the war!

I wanted to see inspectors in Iraq for another 6 months before starting war. War should be the last resort, not a first option (as it currently is with Bush's pre emptive bull crap).

They didn't eaven show the pictures because they were so grusum *spelling. I agree with silvercord.. the inspecters should have ben there longer.. To bad our !&)^#- president and the French are so dense. (The french voted agenst the new resolution or something of that affect.)

How does it look to the Iraqi people, (assuming their allowed to see it)? Look at all that freedom to say what they want, hey, perhaps these guys invading our country ARE liberators, perhaps we ought to help them, or at least not hinder them...
