SIGH
Quote:
This big cycle of yours could have a miriad of steps, but the last one must always (assuming you acquire the pills legally) be the psychiatrist
Which won't make him/her more important than anybody else, the position doesn't matter. It's the happy pills that helps (and a counselor can also help a lot for some people (yes, talking to somene can help the chemical imbalance to stabilize as well)).
Quote:
He/She chooses IF and WHEN and WHAT pills you should have
And the bus driver chooses if he will drive you to the psychiatrist (nonsense)... You need to learn to draw a realistic line. Happy pills will make the chemical imbalance go away. The psychiatrist can flush himself down in the toilet. Also, you can legally buy some happy pills (or similiar products) how and where you want without involving a psychiatrist.
Quote:
A counselor just talks, talking has none to little effect on the amount of certain chemicals your brain chooses to manufacture.
Wrong.

Have you even been to a psychiatrist?
No. I can't afford it anyway. I don't want happy pills! When you're really depressed it's impossible to imagine happiness. If I get happy I will also get 'blind', I will lose something.

Do you suffer or do you know anyone who suffers from clinical depression?
Maybe I do, I don't know.
