    What to do?

I need some suggestions on what to do with my personal website. If you don't know, I've been using compiledmonkey.com as my personal site for awhile. I'm thinking about getting a new domain as well. Generally, it's had college, personal, portfolio information etc. I've taken it down for now to rethink it and redesign my site. Does anyone have any advice as to what I should include in my site? I'm lost for ideas...

im guessing youre wanting to spice it up....do you know any flash, even xml, or dhtml you should be able to make a neat menu w/flashy buttons, i like the white and blue though, its easy to read, most sites are on black and its killer on the eyes(at least mine) well, hopefully someone else will come forward w/suggestions...GOOD LUCK!!!

Honestly, I really hate flash, images, etc. Anything that slows down the load time of a site really sucks. That was the main focus in my current layout. I wanted no graphics and a quick load for any user. Note that my site is hosted on a cable modem and a 180mhz linux box.

I'm really looking for ideas on content. I'll still do a redesign, mostly because I'm much better with XHTML and CSS now. I could add some XML, but I'm not sure it's warrented anywhere. :dunno: Maybe I could parse out the RSS feed coming from my blog and display it on my site.
