(holy crap, a rant)For every one good or decent anime

there are 30987591237534759347509234759324759234705934705923 $$$$ty ones. What's the deal with fanboy posers trying to import/download every single thing from Japan even though most of them are steamy, frothy piles of $$$$?

Typically any Anime From japan with Fansubs is decent to a certain extent, they're mostly all worth watching. It's stuff like toonami that make it crappy. Personally I could watch generally any anime all day long and be happy but 5 minutes of the americanized crap just gets me ranting. The translations are terrible, they cut out wayyyyy toooo much, it just sucks in america at least. Call me a fanboy or whatnot, but i'll take my stuff in it's pure form rather than toonami and such any day. I do understand what you mean though. Then again a lot of people are in it sadly enough for hte nudity.

    It's a secret code

But yeah, I thought DBZ was pretty $$$$ty when I first saw Funamation's version, but the originals are pretty cool.

In five years you animé fans will be wondering why you spent all that time watching Japanimation. It's a trend that should have gone the way of Pogs, in my opinion.

I have a question for the serious animé fanboys and fanladies: Why does every animé character have big colorful hair?

Hey man, don't put it like that. Some japanese only anime is good, like Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu , which is quality. It's when people start downloading crap like "Sexy Commando Masaru" (which is about a gay guy who has perfected a fighting style that involves taking one's pants off) just because it is Japanese that we have problems.

actually i think your number is a little small here, since there are about 3 good animes in history, and maybe half a dozen other mediocre ones.

Also, anime has helped contribute to the creation of furries, which is what scares me the most.

What really sucks is they are going to take yu yu hakusho and put it on toonami and they are also putting rurouni kenshin (samurai x in america) on toonami as well. they basically take all the things that make it anime (other than the drawing style) and cut them out. it p*(ses me off to no end.

As far as the big colorful hair i'm not really sure. It seems typically to be newer generally more popular anime to do it though. If you watch any anime from the 80's they generally have halfway normal hair.
