    The Heavyweight Virus

    I just read the article on it at http://bbspot.com/News/2003/02/heavyweight.html

    It's got me kind of scared: I mean, how can a virus physically damage a HDD, even managing to break it's platters?!

    And the whole idea of not needing action by the user to infect files, this one is downright scary..

    What are your thoughts on this?

    And to be honest, I have heard of viruses that can do this.
