Found this stunning screensaver on the web. I was just wondering what opengl book would teach you to do this? It's so beautiful...I just kept staring at it. Guess what, i love particles.

It's a low polycount sphere with some particle's, Looks nice, Isn't
that comlicated.
Low polygon count sphere? I don't know what you mean by that, but I think those particles are actually blended bitmaps, just like what can be found here:

Thats a cool screensaver, not much variation though. I have not got a clue how it works.

read the damn readme attached to the screensaver!
It says it is shareware, blah blah and how it is created.
Along with a million other facts/options.

People, everytime you open it there will be a new pattern (well, 4 in total i think in the shareware version). Some look better than the other, so there is more than one pattern.
So, no books teach that?
Why is it that almost every thread posted;
