is it a very crucial thing to learn c++ comprehensively before starting off in a college major of CSC?

I've so far gone swiftly through a couple books on c++ and retain a vague overview of how it works and such. Should I focus on going more in-depth? Or wait until I'm in a class with an instructor present.

No - if you knew everything going in there, there wouldn't be a reason to go, would there?

    LMAO

I agree. I didnt have any backgound in programming before I entered my degree in CS, but it definitely wont hurt you to know anything about the subject before learning it, as long as you dont get into bad habits.

It's better to have an idea about C++, before starting a major in CSC... but it's not very crucial.
    none...
