    AOL And your health

I was watching Fastlane on Fox and heard an interesting line in an aol commercial. The aol person said something to the extent of "you can track health with aol and WebMD", and then a supposed aol user stated:

"I totally trust aol with my familys health".....

does that worry anyone else but me lol?

AOL, yes america online, was attempting to give the average person the impression that WebMD is only available on aol, without saying it. To backup the "follow health issues and find health related answers on AOL with WebMD" claim, they had a supposed user say that. The average joe smoe is led to beleive that WebMD is aol integrated and that they should get aol.

it kind of reminds my of a dilbert comic.

doctor>i wrote you a drug prescription in handwriting that no human can read

dilbert>what if he gives me the wrong medicine and i die

    doctor>thats what i call marketing

bassicly it seems like business ethics to do things to cause people extra money (aol is very expensive for how crappy it is)

Well AOL Time Warner just reported the biggest financial loss of any American company ever, so yeah. And most of it was from AOL's side of the business. Time Warner haven't done too badly.

Alot of it has to do with the juno commercials. Showing all the same things as aol, for 9.95 a month instead of 20.00 , plus even more options than aol has.

I use juno, and so does a large percentage of the poeple who used to use aol lol.
