Pokemon talk and a couple useless stories

How many of you played Pokemon when it was popular? I used to huge on playing Pokemon; it was so fun. I would usually play it late at night when I spent the night over at my friend's house. One time I had a battle where it came down to a coin toss on who would win the game (literally). It landed on the wrong side, because I lost the game. But that's ok, because it was a classic game. Do any of you still play it?

A couple weeks ago I was going through my friend's junk in his closet, and I found some Pokemon cards. **I didn't know this friend back when I played but now he is my best friend** So I started to say how we should play again sometime. Hey, most of the time there's nothing better to do. A couple days later in class I was talking about it, and people were saying I was making a fool of myself. However, I don't care, because I'm comfortable enough with myself to not care what other people think. Then I started to say people's name in a Pokemon tone of voice. Such as this one kid's name is Andrew Darr, and I was saying Darmmander Darrmander Darrmander (it was hilarious). Also, there was Claychop Claychop, Scottle Scottle, Jennachu Jennachu, and many many others.

Yup, I'm in a really talkative mood right now, and I can pretty much go on and on about anything lol. However, I still want people to answer the original question. Thank ya.

    hehe... yer a nut
i never got in to the whole pokemon thing.. but that's not the point of this post...
my point was, i noticed you have, IMO, good taste in music (Saves the Day, Thursday, Taking Back Sunday (i think that was you...)). these have been some of the main bands i've been listening to lately, and was wondering if you knew of any others of the same type? The Used are also good.. sorry if i'm taking yer post off topic, but it seemed like a pretty random post, so i thought it may be alright.. if it's not alright, perhaps you could PM me?
    many thanks

Yeah, I really could careless where this thread goes. I'm just so BORED right now. Here is a long list of bands that you might want to check out...

    The Starting Line
    Northstar
    All-American Rejects
    Simple Plan
    Yellowcard
    Home Grown
    Midtown
    The Movielife
    The Early November
    Last Perfect Thing
    Thrice
    Alkaline Trio
    Hot Rod Circuit
    AFI
    Brand New
    Student Rick
    The June Spirit
    Keepsake
    The Juliana Theory
    Further Seems Forever
    Open Hand
    The Get Up Kids
    Boy Sets Fire
    From Autumn to Ashes
    Youth Ahead
    Rufio
    Catch 22
    Fairweather

Some of those I'm not really that big of a fan of, but I know that a lot of other people like them, or I'm not that familiar with the band. Lately the bands that I've been listening to have been June Spirit, Yellowcard, Simple Plan, Early November, Thursday, and Finch.

Some of my fav bands are Starting Line, Taking Back Sunday, Finch, Thursday, Saves the day, Early November, and the rest just aren't quite as good as these hehe. But still most of those bands are really good. The ones that I don't know much about or I don't really like that much are --- Boy Sets FIre, From Autum to Ashes, Youth Ahead, Catch 22, Fairweather, Open Hand, AFI, and Thrice. Ok that should give you enough to listen to for the rest of you life...haha j/k. But in late Feb The Movielife's first cd is coming out...currently they only have one EP out. Yeah, you should definitely go buy Early November's EP...they kick ass! K tell me what ya think.

EDIT: Yeah, I might have left out a couple of bands, sorry.

I got bored, bought a gameshark, and ive been randomly hacking codes for it on and off. I found one to make your enemies invincible in battle. Pretty useless.

Damn.. almost forgot why I was here.. lol
    heres my *intended* reply:

I use to like Pokemon... when I was a little kid. When it first came out, being an eccentric and all, everyone thought it was stupid. So i liked it. Then after everyone was obsessed with it, I disliked it. Silly reason really but anyways...

But if you don't want to be like the rest of the crowd just like everyone else, wouldn't that make you...oh nm I just confused myself again.
    Try not.

Yes yes, a classic example of an infinite loop

Even when pokemon was popular I hated it very much... once I took my little brother to the movie to watch pokemon( the movie ), because he LOVED it... and it was the most boring two hours in my whole life.
    none...

Yeah, I thought the movie was pretty boring, too. I, also, stopped playing once it got REALLY BIG. However, it wasn't because it got big or anything; I simply lost interest at the time. Now if I'm ever really really bored and have nothing better to do when I'm at my friend's house I would want to play against him. It would be fun doing it again one more time. Or better yet I could have two girls come over and we could have a 3 way "battle" lol...hmmm I think the 2nd option sounds a lot better!

Oh yes, that bring back memories of my younger self. Man that game was awesome. I was kinda ticked off though, because I had the red version, and so did everyone else. I only knew like 2 or 3 people with the blue version. I remember the first time I tried to trade, I had one of those old bulky ones, before they even had colored plastic, it was just gray and bulky. My friend had a Gameboy Pocket, this was around when they just came out. I tried to use my link cord to connect mine to his and it wouldn't fit on his. It made me so mad. But there was this one dude named Michael who had the converter thingy, but he wasn't in any of my classes. So I had to wait until recess to see him, and we'd all link up and battle and trade and junk. We'd cheat the game out -- we'd trade one of those ones that have to be traded to evolve, then trade it back, that way we got our pokemons all evolved and crap. We even had a club, I don't remember what it was called. I soon took the title "PokeFreak" because I knew just about everything there was to know about pokemon, game or showwise. And then WGN stopped showing the WB so I couldn't watch the new episodes, and eventually I just lost all interest in it. I think it'd be kinda neat for me to make a clone of it someday. This may sound cheesy, but when I was like 11 I had a dream about a game that was like monster collecting, but it was pretty cool. Kicked the ass out of pokemon. It had some cool features to it too, I wish I would've wrote some stuff about it down. The only thing I remember is that it was played massively on the internet, which is odd, because I never even heard of massively multiplayer games at that time. I don't know, probably one of my future flashes I get when I sleep. I get em' ALL the time. It's scary.
