    Question The Gun or the Sword?

    This applies to video games only. Which one do you like better, and explain why.

    You'll have to be more specific. Do you mean in a game? long-range combat? hand-to-hand combat? or as the only weapon I'll ever have in my life?

    Haven't you guys ever seen Star wars?? The lightsaber (or sword i guess) is much more accurate and for the skilled user.

    The sword, like face_master said, the sword usually takes some skill to master.

    i.e. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, with the special sword, I forget the name for it.

    Although guns have their obvious advantages, I chose the sword because I have found swords to be more fun to use. Rather than simply aiming and shooting, a sword can chop off a head or a limb and is much more fun in close combat.

    I like straight-forward stuff myself. I'd prefer a sniper-rifle at long range. No fuss, no workouts/getting worked up. Pure end result.
    The world is waiting. I must leave you now.

    ah, yes... The way the movie made it so that you need to learn to just keep it steady... that is why i prefer swords.

    guns for easy kills...fun(ny) at times...but nothing like having fun sneaking up behind someone with a sword.(in games that is).

    - Sword -
    Because its more professional

    I mean, even I can wield a gun and take out a samurai master 10 metres away. (Unless Im really incompetent and/or hammered beyond redemption) But to slice that dude up with a katana in hand requires class and skill.

    Wait wait! I withdraw my previous statement about swords. If the gun was a railgun then Id take that! lol! thats a pr0 weapon
    My idea of the ideal railgun is the one featured in Red Faction where the scope can see through walls. (Gamma vision?) In that case I can take out like 3 targets with one slug if they're collinear... hmm ill shutup now

    Definitely a sword.

    I'm a big fan of anything medieval plus a sword is more of a sign of strength and skill whereas a gun is a symbol of cowardness. Plus swords are bloodier and way more fun.

    The green sword of destiny?

    I have both swords and guns (damn Texan!)...if I were facing a man with a gun, I'd prefer the gun, otherwise, nothing compares to the saber.
    Code:
    #include <cmath>
    #include <complex>
    bool euler_flip(bool value)
    {
        return std::pow
        (
            std::complex<float>(std::exp(1.0)),
            std::complex<float>(0, 1)
            * std::complex<float>(std::atan(1.0)
            *(1 << (value + 2)))
        ).real() < 0;
    }

    That's only in star wars!
    And I choose the gun, because it's much more effective, even if the guy with a sword is a master, unless the guy with the gun is stupid.
