Question hard disk space and spyware

although most people have a lot of space on there computer

should companies or really anyone be able to put unauthorized

information on your hard disk that you bought and you own

such as spyware or anything else. its one thing if your freind or

child downloaded an image or a free game. but if you download a

free game that has spyware or adware and it installs it without

your authorization on your harddisk and take up the space that

you paid good money for. then annoy the heck out of you.

    that just ain't right

It does have your authorization, you just don't know it. Most of the programs that do this have small clauses in their EULA, you just don't read them.

It's microsoft's fault, why in the world would you allow VBScript to be run in a browser??

    I HATE
    VBScript.

It really ........es me off when I find that my homepage and search pages that I set have been changed to these OFFENDERS that launch a million popups that try to install EVIL programs on my comp.

-Thank god I don't have a modem as applications are being installed on my comp that MALLICOUSLY takes control of your modem - if I had one, whenever you start your comp or IE they charge you money for your modem calling some outta country place.

It always seems to be a GERMAN developer who has made these applications - I can't believe this is what they would do with their talents - I'd like to put a hit out on them.

Get Ad-Aware . It works very well and removes most common spyware (and few other not so common ones.)

Removes stuff like Gator, comet cursor etc. It is also free, so the price is right.
