Now...There is an instant messaging service called Trillian, which can be found at www.trillian.cc
The most current release of Trillian is v0.6351, which currently supports AOL IM, ICQ, MSN Messenger, IRC, and Yahoo! Messenger.
I dont personally have it, but I suggest that if you dont have AIM, either get Trillian, so you can talk to AIM people, or get AIM. AIM is the most common medium.
Also, I am currently making a site to allow us to input the results of our games and it will catalog them all in a database, so we can have official win/loss scores and all.

ICQ is good too, but the only Cboarder I know of
that has it is Govtcheez... Every game that I've
played has been set up with AIM. Besides, AIM
is easier to find people. ICQ uses numbers, AIM
uses made-up names.

More updates:
in a game of best outta 3 Ken Vs DavidP (omg, it rhymes!) Ken comes out a winner! The tourney went as such:
1) After a long, extremely interesting and tricky battle, Ken wins
2) A shorter game, where David won with a devious trick
3) This was the crown Jewel - It was fairly short and Ken had a whole bunch of good special blocks, but david had none (after thorough deletion by Ken) so a few well-placed block bombs and quakes caused david to lose miserably
