    > Remember the dying soldier with a photo of his family in his hand?

That's frequently referred to as "drama". Being a dramatic movie, I'd expect to see some.

    > We see other young american newbie soldiers as well.

That's all well and good, but the casualty figures don't lie. Wayyyy more Somalis than Americans died in Mogadishu that day. It makes sense to me that the Americans shot better, at the very least.

Nemesis was pretty bad, bunch of old geezers with canes limping around and shooting each other with phazers. I mean come on, Star Trek is much better than stooping to the "bad guys always miss no matter how close they are while the good guys have perfect accuracy from a mile away" action movie cliche.

My favorite part was when Riker told Worf to cover for him, then proceeds to slowly shuffle over to the vent amidst heavy fire, then just sorta falls over into it. Blech.

I hope nobody has said Karate Kid yet.

Seriously, I like the movie, all 3 of the first "Daniel Son" trilogy that is. That movie gets slammed alot...surprised it hasn't been mentioned. I like it.

Bad movie though, wow, since I went through a horror film run a few years ago, renting every possible horror movie I could find(B-grade or not)...I could name a few. I'll stick to something with recognition though.

    Harry Potter/LOTR. (Choose one)

Black Hawk Down is not abysmally bad as a movie (2/5) but what really scares me is people (including Scott himself) saying that BHD is very realistic, or even documentary.

Btw, here are many bad movies:

You don't know what you're talking about. You thrive off of the media.
My friend was in Somalia and he loved the movie because of how true it was.

    That's a true generalazation.

I saw the documentary on Black Hawk Down and the movie was very close to that, in fact I wish the movie did a better job at highliting certain facts.

The somalis are STUPID ppl and they believe what their warlords tell them, The somalis were incensed at the US for capturing and killing their warlords who were criminals but the STUPID muslim fools cant think for themselves allowing for open hostility to the US soldeirs.

Here's a neat FACT that's mentioned in the movie but not explained very well. The somali militia are drugeez they chew a plant called COT which is like cocaine and it numbs them and they do it everyday at mid Afternoon when the this incident took place so the somali gunmen were hopped up on COT and that's why they stood out in the open and shot at our guys, but that's also the reason the SOMALI's had nearly 10,000 casualties.

You should watch or read the book on Black Hawk Down and you'll see how TRUE it is.

It is one of the greatest movies.

I'm on the side of not liking Black Hawk Down. Not overly interesting, and the whole American Heroes type ending didnt appeal to me either. It was on the border of (almost) being ok until the end.
Having said that, i actually couldn't watch the second half of Pearl Harbour. That would probably be my least favourite movie (well the first half of it ).

Also on the list are Blair Witch Project and all Star Wars movies.

Everyone is mentioning cool movies...But the worst movie ever created is Triple X. It is too much like a video game and nothing like a half-way decent movie. Now Minority Report was "Pimpin" as cool people might say.

I'm glad that I haven't seen many of the movie you've mentioned as the worst movie ever...

damonbrinkley, When I said realistic I didn't mean very realistic, but at least something that you could think it would happen, many movies ( at least good ones ) are in a way or another realisic...

But ofcourse I know what's good to some one might be considered bad for a nother...
    none...
