Your right of course, but I was just imagining the situation were one has written or contributed to a fly by wire system or perhaps the safety systems at a nuclear power plant.Which in itself isn't entirely horrible. It's when you're trying to debug the thing that "has always worked before", because you don't know any better, and it looks like it should work, but for some unexplained reason that you can't grasp, it just doesn't. You're pulling your hair out for hours on end, only to find out that it is caused by some obscure undefined behaviour that you've always taken for granted...
