VIII is fun to just play around with, but VI and VII are far better games. IX and X just suck imo. However, I hear that IX was pretty good in the original Japanese, but most of it was lost in translation. There is no way that I can be coerced into playing X again. Now then FFT however...

VIII was the worst one.
I guess I agree with most of the others here about liking Final Fantasy VII the most, though I did like Final Fantasy VIII a lot. The only thing i didn't like in VII was that Aeries died

I hated that bit in VII as well, as Aeris is one of the coolest characters (after Sephiroth of course!!)
I thinking killing off Aeris was a bold move by Square, that turned to be a great one. That was the most emotional experience I ever had playing a video game. I think it helped me to connect with the characters and made FF VII one of the best gaming experiences I have every had.

Hey brothers! final fantasy 8 is the shiznit- anyway- you should first know your roots though. Play final fantasy 7 and all the other ones before it first- then you'll get the full FF effect.

I don't see anything wrong with FF IX and FF X but that is just me. I think FF X is more in the style of FF VIII, but pulls everything off nicely. Although, I don't know what to expect of FF X2. It already has the lame title, and I think if any of the FF games should get a sequal it should be FF VII or to a far lesser extent FF IX.
final fantasy 8 was decent. 7 was great but the ending is terrible. Of newer ones, i love 9. The whole love thing kinda made you get more into the plot. But i still prefer the old ones. I'd take the original or 3 over the new ones anyday.

I do not know if that is a good thing or a bad thing, because the story was very poor in places (ESPECIALLY at the end!!), but I would like to see a remade version of Final Fantasy VII! And as for a sequel, ?
I do not think a sequel will be very good!
