something bad that happened to me in school yesterday

something bad happened to me in school yesterday. I was extremely ........ed off. The teacher called on me and asked me about the deteroit police during world war 1. I said they were dumb because they broke up peaceful assembly and that goes against the constitution. He said "well tell me more" and I said "well they must have been pro war because the assembly was anti war, and I don't know any more than that about the detroit police". Then he said "Yes I know that is true, but let's have a discussion about it" and I said "let's not" (I realize this was rude) "i dont know any more about it than that". and he kept pressuring me for answers, I kept saying in a monotone voice 'i dont' know' and he finally said (irritated) "whats wrong with you, you sound sick and i think you need to get some serious help (bold words more emphasized when he said it). then he goes on to the next person, trying to completely ignore me. i yelled at him, because I was very ****ing ........ed of "what the hell is what supposed to mean?" and he just kind of looked at me and said "take a hike" and sent me to the office. I wanted to punch that old ****er in the teeth.

Yeah...Some teachers are just natural born #@$@'s. Don't let that get you down.

Sounds like you got a real winner in that class... Everyone has to deal w/ buttmunch supervisors or teachers once in a while - the best thing is to just bite the bullet and push through.

Don't be disapointed, some teachers have psycological problems, I mean it.
Although some are great, but as in everything, some are not.
    none...

Yeah, that was completely unnecessary on his part. Sure, you weren't in the right either, but it is his job to be the adult.

I had one of those days last year. In my last class I was feeling like hell (got home and had a 103 degree temp) and decided to not do anything because of it. It was going well until my teacher went on one of his obligatory rants about us not being able to find the page despite it being up on the board. I was minding my own business (on the right page) and he walks up to me and asks, "Why aren't you doing the questions?" Naturally, I turn the page and look up and respond with, "I couldn't find the page."

The rest of the class consisted of us throwing smart ass remarks back and forth. Luckily for me, I think he liked me to begin with, so I didn't get into any trouble. So yeah...my teacher was actually cool...hmm...just forget I posted here.

I feel for you, Shadow. Somedays for me are hell trying not to completely flip out on some of my teachers. Today my teacher told me to stop talking and turn around and wathc the announcments. The thing is that other people were talking, too, and I was telling the girl next to me what she missed on the notes from the day before. So this made me very angry, as usual. I told her "No, I'm not going to watch the announcements, but I will stop talking". She can't tell me to watch the announcements, considering that the announcements are optional to watch. Basically I ..........ing hate that teacher. The past two years I've had English teachers where every single person in the class hates the teacher. I'm starting to think that English teachers in general are just naturally b*tches lol. j/k I liked my 9th grade English teacher; he was cool.

This same teacher for English this year tells us that we are so rude, but when she wants us to be quiet she says "shut up" or "hush" or "zip it" and she says it with such an annoyingly bold voice. I don't think she deserves any respect at all since she can't show us any. I don't want to be told to "shut up" and have that person expect respect from me. If she wants to tell me to "be quiet" in a normal voice that's completely understandable.

Ok, I'll write more if other people continue this thread. If not I guess I'll stop.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I'm near positive that she grades biasedly. I have never once thought this about a teacher until now, but I know for sure she grades with a bias. It's ridiculous how she is as a teacher.

isn't that the same teacher who tried to stick his P3N15 in the floppy drive? Law of shop teachers: the tools must be sharper than the teacher. And man do we have some dull tools around here...

Yeah, my algebra teacher is like that. He's just simply a bad teacher. Usually what he does to me is answer all of the rest of the classes questions, which I get those parts of the problem (every time, it never fails!) and ignores me when I have a question. Then when I try to say something about it he'll say "dont backtalk me!" and give me detention.

    Stupid fat bastard.

That's why I developed my skill at teaching my self. That way I don't have to put up with stupidity, I can just ignore it.

Shadow, you should have walked out on him. Teachers hate that.

    "Hey get back here!"
"No, you're a dick. I think I'll send myself to office, thankyou."
    "Err..."

If I was in your position, I would have surely back-talked him. Teachers like him ........ me off, but there's really no reason to let them get to you. Just tell them to STFU and leave their classroom. In reality, they can't touch you, and sometimes that ........es them off.

I am not a very talkative person, so i don't get into trouble THAT often. I sometimes feel that becoming teachers is kinda sad...(i actually mean high school teachers). After going through high school and uni he/she has to come back to a school and teach it, reminding him or herself of the past days spent there. Oh and i especially dislike those who graduated from a school and came back and teach it (talking bout high schools again).

Self-teaching is good sometimes, but occasionally it requres more time and effort, which isn't worth it in some cases. It depends a lot on chances to meet a good teacher i guess.

English teachers? They're pretti good at my school. I like the fact that they actually speak using very good grammar and sometimes using clever vocabs ^.^.

note: I heard from someone that high school teachers gradually lower themselves as they teach to the IQ level equivalent to the grade they are teaching in...

Hehe, we had a shop teacher who threatened a kid that he was gonna saw his arm off, he even put his arm next to one of those sawing machines and turned it on!! He also called all the kids who werent so great ***s and told them they sucked and that they were a disgrace to the school and stuff like that. :P

Thats when we discovered a wonderful thing:
The schools supervisor company had a fax number listed in the principals office. (we had this habit of sneaking in there when it was empty) We sent them a fax complaning about him and he magically disappeared for awhile. We tried doing the same thing to our gym teacher (he had a thing for young schoolgirls... who got incredibly good grades if theyd follow him into his office, which had a bed, after class), but he was too persistent, he got 4 warnings... then we couldnt pin him for anything more, cause the girls wouldnt rat him out anymore. To this day he looks reeeeally mad when he looks at me.. Luckily Ive moved since then!
