i like the bond movies but w/o shawn connery (sp??) bond movies are bad we need Sir.Connery and HE could act.

    >>on a side note.. what was up with them using those wire cutters

Exactly! Watched it with a friend and as soon as those wire cutters came out we both turned to each other like 'Huh?'

I've always been a huge fan of Bond movies for purely light entertainment value. You dont go see a bond movie for plot twists and artsy new technique. You go for a few good Bond cliches; the babes, the hot cars, the cool gadgets, and the tripped out super vilans. Its got all the stuff for a couple hours of classic guy entertainment. Just take it all with a grain of salt.

I also hated the surfing bit. Really horrible animation, and was digusted with concept of the metal "surfboard" chunk.

Couldn't convince my brain to leave the invisible car concept alone either. It was just too wrong.

    Best lines:

Jinx: "Its our friend with the expensive acne."
    ---
    Lackey: "Hello, I'm mister Kill."
Bond: "Now theres a name to die for."
    ---
Q: *hands Bond the car manual* "I'm sure you can shoot through this in a few hours.*
Bond: *Presses remote control, tosses book, cars machine guns blows it apart* "Really Q. It only took a few seconds."

    *shakes head* that was bad

another thing (don't know why i bother, but oh well). why didn't he use those huge spikes coming out of the tires when he was in the car chase on the ice? it seems like they would have come in handy

but you're very right, lightatdawn.. it's just classic guy entertainment, and shouldn't be taken as anything more.. but it's still fun to laugh at the huge holes with friends

Oh for sure. Thats what makes it funny. How about the first scene between Jinx and Bond? Could it get any cornier?

But its all just for laughs. Classic I tell you; Classic.

I do think though that this movie lacks something that its predescesors had. Cant quite put my finger on it though.

I thought Bond seemed out of character in some of the scenes, and some of the over all plot. He just didn't seem the same.
