    > You gonna post a note to their mum or something? Lol, i'd like to see that!

I live about 45 minutes from them - I could always just go visit them

My favorite books - It, The Stand, Dune, the Dark Tower Series...

I've read LOTR before, but tried reading it again before the movies came out and I found I really don't like Tolkien's writing style

    LOTR was awesome but overwritten.
Dune by Frank Herbert is probably the single best story I've ever read. Turn-pager!
Isaac Asimov's stories kick ass too - I've read every one of his sci-fi publications, excluding most of his short stories. He is my favorite overall author.

"And the Holocaust is considered weird by this book? In what sense - that it did happen or it didn't? If it says the latter, throw the ****ing thing in the bin ."

Presumeably the book is referring to the people who don't believe in the holocaust despite the mountains of evidence in its favour as 'weird'.

Best book...... hmmm Theres a novel called "The Power of One" by Bryce Courtenay that i loved, so it'd either be that or the foundation series by Asimov.

    <---- The Wheel of Time

    It is the fantasy series.
Taim appeared as close to a smile as Rand had ever seen him. "Kneel and swear to the Lord Dragon," he said softly, "or you will be knelt"

    LotR is also good.

    The Foundation trilogy
Ebling Mis at that time had seven days to live, and the seven days slipped by, one after the other, quietly.
    [...]
Toran cried in near-agony, 'Yes, yes! Tell us how to get there, Ebling? Where is it?'
'I can tell you,' said the faint voice.
    He never did.
Bayta, face frozen white, lifted her blaster and shot, with an echoing clap of noise. From the waist upward, Mis was not, and a ragged hole was in the wall behind. From numb fingers, Bayta's blaster dropped to the floor.

That may be it. Damn Illinois nazi's!

The Power of One - gosh, I remember reading that in eighth grade...took me damn near forever to finish it. The movie is excellent as well.

I enjoy Tom Clancy novels. I love all that espionage, covert operations, anti-terrorist and superpowers locking horns kind of stuff. Rivetting.

I read the hobbit once, it just sent me to sleep. I don't have enough imagination for fantasy stuff

God Emperor of Dune, my favorite out of the nine best books I've ever read.
