What are some of the best sigs you've ever seen?
What do/don't you like about sigs?
    What makes a good sig?

I like my sig, but sometimes i think it's too long, especially cause sometimes my posts are shorter

We would think: "Weird. We haven't seen Waldo2K2 around here... since we banned him!"

j/k. We wouldn't ban you... We'd just send mafia to your house to break your knees.

I like the ones I listed because they either sound powerful, magical, or make you think. The things I don't like about them is the fact that they can come off as arrogant, especially after someone hauls off pointing out all of your mistakes with an attitude.

3 I would say is a matter of opinion.
It might depend upon if you want to advertise yourself??(email, chat ID, website, etc)
or if you want to use a favorite quote(mine's from X-Men VS Street Fighter).

I usually like to put some cool quotes in my sig, and I always have my web page in it. I picked up this poem, that I have in my sig now, a few weeks ago. I think its going to stay for a while.

I think a mod had in their sig, When you play a Windows Me cd backwards it plays satanic messages. If you play it forward it installs Windows ME.

They may have changed it, but that was one that I have remembered.

    >>If you play it forward it installs Windows ME.

that's always been one of my favs

mine's just sort of stuff that's funny to me,
the quote from Drew (me) is something my friends would now about, sort of an inside joke. I like to advertise my fav band (soil). And i thought it would be cool to show my progress on my new cool project. Plus the first line just sums me up, i've been known to down 2L dr peppers during play practice (1-2 hours) then go home and start programming witha 6 pack....my dentist will be able to retire in 2 years (j/k)

    yeah, a pic's worth 1000 words
cept i think it woudl get abused.....
plus, do you have any idea how long it would take to load a pic from everybody's sig for those of us on dial-up?? or how much space it would take on the server? They run out of room constantly from just the threads.

But yeah it would be frickin sweet.

well, the image is stored on the server so it only has to load it once, not once per thread.

Yes, we need to have pics in our sigs because having an avatar just isn't enough is it? What do you really need a pic for in your sig? If you want to show off a pic, then make it your avatar. Seems simple enough to me. Plus, the pics make the posts (and threads) look very obtrusive, IMO.
