Can you post your opinions as well? Why you chose your answer.
Best C/C++ compiler IMO, has heaps of cool features in the IDE and comes with heaps of cool tools (like Spy++).
Its really simple to use plus MSDN software comes with it. BTW...its online too

How often does microsoft update the software?
Why invest in MSVC++ 6.0 when MS is trying to shove managed C++ (but would rather you use C#) down your throat with .NET? I'd stick with what you have or move to an open source product.
if you write programs for win32 it's worth it.
Mostly for it's great ide and awesome debugging capabilities, the debugger just rocks. Just make sure to generate browse info if you're not an expert at assembly (lol). You'll see what i mean later.
PHP and XML
Let's talk about SAX

Only if you get the latest version, .NET I believe. The compiler itself is average, I prefer Borland, but the debugger is one of the best I've used.

My best code is written with the delete key.
i think its awsome, its a must have if youre programming for windows, you have to get it IMO, i wish you could lable the line numbers in the IDE, but thats my only harp about it
its worth what i paid for it (nothing)
isn't kazaa great?
Monday - what a way to spend a seventh of your life
I've used .NET as well as visual studio 6, and I hate .NET and I love visual studio 6. NET just runs too slow and doesn't offer anything I need. I honestly believe msvc++ is the only C++ IDE(compiler, whatever you call it) for windows. I have BorlandC++ builder 6 and Borland 5.02 and they are good but I like msvc++ and it's worth the money. Everything else microsoft (notice i didn't use the stupid dollar symbol) releases isn't worth it, but this one product is
so if I were to get either one... which one would be better... .net or visual studios?

No, its EVIL! Actually Limewire is more evil (it was written in Java) but iMesh is the best IMO; it has basicly the same stuff (most users have both) but without the spyware (Ad-aware sets my computer on fire everytime I run it with Kazaa installed due to all the spyware. Kazaa make blood start to drip down ur monitor and changes your file-system from binary (0s and 1s) to devilry (6s only).
