My sig is a delicate topic...

Okay, I've noticed that since my signature has changed to this rather debated true comment, people have been jumping all over me because they either think I'm a stoned pothead that doesn't understand people die from car crashes or that I'm lying.

The truth is no person has ever died directly from the use of marijuana. And by this I mean no one has died from a marijuana overdose and no one has died from a disease directly caused by marijuana (such as emphasyma). This data is derived from medical records that the U.S. government collects. So, don't yell down my throat that I'm lying. If you want the source, I'll give it to you...

Also, before the pundits start trying to define "the cause of a death", I'm using the definition hospitals put on those medical records. 'Marijuana' has never been it.

And for the people about the crashes, I've modified my signature. I hope people can be satisfied with this one.

Sorry to take up a whole thread position but I had to get this off my chest. I'm not use to being cynical or use to people throwing hard punches my way. Good day!

You expect people to believe that not 1 person out of several billion has ever died as a direct result of smoking marijuana?

She was so Blonde, she spent 20 minutes looking at the orange juice can because it said "Concentrate."

When in doubt, read the FAQ.
    Then ask a smart question.

Ich habe meine Unterschrift geändert - ich entschuldige mich, wenn irgendjemand beleidigt wurde.

Ich bin von Australien - Jedoch ich kann Irgendein Deutsch sprechen.

No problem, I was just wondering if you mistyped your country and meant Austria

Warum mussen sie Deutsch sprechen? Nicht alles kann es verstehen...

Yes, I realize my grammar was probably awful, but gimme a break - I haven't had a class where I had to actually speak German in 3 years.

Maybe kermi can use this thread as an example for his Attention span ideas.

As for the actual issue here, sure, no one's died from a pot OD, but there's still adverse effects to its smoking if the person using isn't smart enough to avoid places where he could hurt himself or others. On the whole, though, I'm for its legalization - we've got much worse substances that are already legal.
