I used to without sleep for 48 regular, but can't seem to do it anymore.

I think the world record is 6 months. But guy had somekind of stroke which damaged the part of his brain responsible for inducing sleep & was immune to sedatives. After a week he was a vegetable. He died after 6 months.

Partial insomnia screwed me up when I was a kid. I would go days at a time without sleep for no good reason. I would just lay in bed all night and never fall asleep. The longest I ever went without sleep I believe was about 9 days on a trip to Florida. I slept for about 3 days straight though when I finally did pass out. For some reason I'm fine now. I don't understand why it went away but I'm glad it did. I have a lot less stomach problems now.

I was up for about 60 hours once (LAN party )
after that i just crashed, but appearantly I had been walking around and talking after i had fallen asleep although i have no recollection of it what so ever (my mother told me the day after)

something similar happend to a friend of mine at the lan he had also been up for 60 - 70 hours, he had actually jumped out a window and been runing around the building screaming something about i fire

btw is it after 80 you start hallucinating? I have got to try that sometime

I once fell asleep in a nightclub standing up. When I awoke, a cleaner was mopping around me, it was 03:30 & I was still holding my drink. The only reason I had been left there was because the bouncers thought it was funny.

There is an easy way to stop this happening, however. Do try to stay awake for more than 48 hours.

    lmao man...

I know my exact time, 84 hours and 15 minutes (at least) during a lan party. I booted up my pc at around 7 pm with everyone else for the party, and then when i finally went to bed i checked the pc clock to see how long the uptime was (cuz i was up with it the whole time). Scince it was started at 7pm it was actually about 7 hours more then that cuz i got up round noon.
