    ~Lucid dreaming~

    Lucid dreaming is when you know you are dreaming when you are dreaming, so it's possible to actually control your dreams if you try to imagine the things you want in your dream. How good would that be! I am starting to train myself now. Do you think it's possible? I'll definitely give a try...

    Have you had a lucid dream before???

    Yep, it happens to me sometimes. It's not so much you know you're dreaming, it's that you know you can do whatever you want... at least that's how it is with me.

    I've been mad about lucid dreaming for about a month now. and I certainly didn't expect a post like this to be found at this board.

    I have had 2 lucid dreams. They were great!

    Does anyone else have that one dream were you're falling, and then right when you hit the ground you wake up?? I hate that dream!

    In my last lucid dream, I woke up before I hit the ground. I was so proud of myself.

    >I am starting to train myself now.<

    I'd love to do this more often, how are you training yourself?

    I actually perfected this when i was young. Here are two methods that work quite well:

    -When you go to bed, "force" yourself to sleep. Move your mind to the front of your forhead and don't allow thoughts to arise. Soon you shouldl feel as if your eyelids are sealed shut, and typically, you will be asleep in 5-20 minutes.

    :: or ::

    -Don't sleep for one entire night. The next day, do energetic things such as taking walks, stretching, or jogging. That night, sit upright with your eyelids just lightly closed. When sleepiness come on, refresh the mind constantly, but keep the eyes closed.

    The second one produces the most intense state. The vividness of the dreaming and absolute confidence that you are still awake is quite invigorating.

    My parents ran a commune in Houston back in the sixties and seventies ( hence my middle name: "Orion Silverwing Earthmagic"(!) )called "the family connection" . This was quite a popular pastime back then.
    Code:
    #include <cmath>
    #include <complex>
    bool euler_flip(bool value)
    {
        return std::pow
        (
            std::complex<float>(std::exp(1.0)),
            std::complex<float>(0, 1)
            * std::complex<float>(std::atan(1.0)
            *(1 << (value + 2)))
        ).real() < 0;
    }

    Odd. I usually do just the opposite
    Code:
    #include <cmath>
    #include <complex>
    bool euler_flip(bool value)
    {
        return std::pow
        (
            std::complex<float>(std::exp(1.0)),
            std::complex<float>(0, 1)
            * std::complex<float>(std::atan(1.0)
            *(1 << (value + 2)))
        ).real() < 0;
    }

    Waking up when the dream becomes lucid is pretty common, BMJ. That's basically what I did on my second lucid dream...

    It's funny how some people can have lucid dreams naturally. I read some web site which says that only 20% of people can do that.

    How do i train myself? um..actually dunno if that works but thats what it says on the web site and some excerpts of books. I just perform 'reality tests' during the day, write a "C" ( consciousness ) on my hand, and telling myself to have a lucid dream just before going to sleep. I really want to have one...

    I found out that a device called "nova-dreamer" can help you with lucid dreams, but right now I don't have access to buying it even if i know where.

    >>"Does anyone else have that one dream were you're falling, and then right when you hit the ground you wake up?? I hate that dream!"

    Had that one a few times. But all were different.
    One time I was faling out of a plane, saw a forest beneath me and hit the floor in a city. Could actualy feel my body shake as it happened. After that, thust got up and walked away.

    Very strange.
