    Steven Ambrose

Perhaps this is SPAM. Perhaps not, but in this case I don't care.

I just found out that the great World War II historian Steven Ambross passed away last night. He was a great historian who was responsible for the historical accuracy of all of the WWII, Steven Spielberg productions, and for the accuracy of such works as Band of Brothers. He also wrote many WWII books, most of which were targeted to teach the general public, preserve stories, and be intresting rather than to speel historical facts. (Which were hidden in there )

...The world lost a great man, a great historian, and most importantly perhaps a great story teller.

Can't say I knew him... but then I got U in my history exam, so what do you expect

Still, if he helped in the making of films, I probably did know him without ever realising Oh well, another one bites the dust...

WOW! He lost his battle with cancer. He was a great writer, i loved the book Citizen Soldier. Didn't he just get diagnosed a month ago that he had it or something like that.
    He will be missed!
