I used to do it a lot (every weekend, without fail), but haven't had one in awhile. Our usual games were Day of Defeat, Medal of honor, and whatever RTS was hot at the time.

One of my friends got a 3dmark score of over 10K, IIRC.

    drdroid, go die

What those people did to that guy who was cheating on counter strike was really stupid because there are no laws against cheating and he could easily sue them for assault and property damage.

Hey, RoD, the description you're giving of your "LAN party" sounds pretty damn gay...

there aint nothing like having your buddy blow your head off
    and

blow your best friends internals all over his moniter
    My point stands true

We have a lan pary about once a month. That usually includes 21 players and lasts about 3-4 days. A lot of fun!!!!

I think that video was staged to keep people from cheating. As someone previously said it would be very plausible to sue.

There are unwritten laws, baby. Cheaters get what they deserve.

I thought it was staged for several reasons:

-The timing of the yelling to when the lights went on, no hesititation.

-How quickly the pc was unhooked and how no cords were yanked all over, as its my understanding he would have taken other network cables with it.

-The others around didn't look very suprised.

-The guy wasn't really fighting back when he was carried away.

-He didn't wig out when they destroyed his pc.

-They knew exactly what pc to go to out of all of those pcs that quickly....

    and so on.

3-4 days straight playing computer games?! I'm lucky (read: incredibly bored) if I can manage 3-4 hours. Hell, after 1 hour I start to get pretty bored...

If you play 3-4 days every month then you aren't just playing once a month you are playing for 1/10th of your month.

I think that video was staged too, for the exact same reasons, also I doubt anyone would be stupid enough to go cheat at a lan with that many people even if the lights were off. You can still see each others monitors and you can easily tell when someone has an aimbot on.

As a side note why were you people arguing about who had the best party? It irks me when people brag about how talented they are at drinking alcohol and who has the best methods of doing stupid things and acting wild.
