Even as they pick through the remains of Bali looking for my country men I try to remain calm. Ignoring the rhetoric and to focus on the facts.

Bush said that the United States "has no quarrel with the Iraqi people, who have suffered for too long." The problem is that he has no quarrel with them and also no concern for their fate. Assuming that Hussein is not going to simply pack up and leave quietly when U.S. forces arrive, it is sensible to assume there will be a war of some duration and that the U.S. military will use its preferred tactics -- high-altitude bombing to "soften up" areas before ground troops go in, which guarantees high levels of civilian casualties; the use of indiscriminate weapons such as cluster bombs; and the deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure such as electrical-power generation and water facilities. Whether the military will discover Iraqi underground bunkers that can only be reached with "bunker buster" tactical nuclear warheads is unknown.

As for the rhetoric, how about a bit of reality.

Where was Donald Rumsfeld in 1983? (sucking up to Sadam in Iraq)

Who sold Iraq chemical and biological agents (including anthrax, VX nerve gas, West Nile fever germs, botulism and other germs similar to tuberculosis and pneumonia) from from January 1985 to August 1990?
    (US)

Who was president of the US in 1988 when SH used these chemical agents on the Kurds?
    (Bush snr)

Did he stop or restrict the sales?

    (NO)

    For your homework on terrorism;

Who is Orlando Bosch? Where did he commit his crimes and who still wants him? What country gives him sanctuary now? Why?

What political post does Elliott Abrams hold in the US government? What was he convicted of in 1991?

Senator Donald Riegle, chair of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking Housing and Urban Affairs that oversees U.S export policy said, "UN inspectors had identified many U.S. manufactured items that had been exported from the U.S. to Iraq under licenses issued by the Department of Commerce, and (established) that these items were used to further Iraq's chemical and nuclear weapons development and its missile delivery system development programs."

So I think the US should clean up its own mess. The US created him, supplied him and now when he is out of control, the US tells the rest of the world that our children must die to clean up your mess.

As for being in DS, I doubt you have seen a sand dune. Also AFAIK there are only US marines.

How will the war (US-Iraq) end? How about if Iraq thinks, Iraq has nothing to do with US? Let’s check Israel and fix one target which is the only panic of all Arabs, there will be no place named Israel, if any, there will be no one to live in. If Iraq try it with it's last resource, in this case it can encourage Israel’s enemy.

And think about the reaction from Israel. And I don't know the situation if even a single country stands against USA-Israel and with Iraq. I'm afraid that will be the 3rd worst thing ever happened in this wonderful earth.

Why don't we talk about the result of the war? How many people can die, is Iraq like Afghanistan? I guess Iraq is much denser then Afghanistan, as well as Israel.

Ohh.. In my opinion, I never supported UK to go in Indian sub-continent (Where today’s Bangladesh was victim), Germany to its neighbor countries, US to go in Vietnam, Panama, Somalia, Afghanistan; Iraq to go in Kuwait.... and lots of like those....

In any circumstances, you are not allowed to invade another country except that particular country invades your country. But this is true from my point of view, that as because of being the only super power, it is failing to control itself. From history and nature, it must happen. Nothing can stay on top for unlimited period of time. All those things happened in the past, happening now, and will happened in the future.

No one mentions that Israel is in violation of UN sanctions SCR 242 and 338 calling for withdrawal from the West Bank and Gaza.

Thirty-five years later, the United States' response to that violation remains massive economic and military aid that allows Israel to remain defiant.

Is the UN relevant to Palestine? (or only those countries the US wants it to be)

Well what is the UN first.. The UN was created by the US.. and the US spends billions on it... so it is obvious that the UN is the American puppet.. and a way to controll all the other superpowers like Russia, China etc etc....

And what an average American thinks is why are we hated when we do so much good(bhaaa..).. why is every one swearing at us when we want peace et etc blah blah blah blah.... What he dosent know is that in almost all cases it is the US which creates these elements for their own use.. Later they go out of controll and start destroying peace in that region.. But the US dosent do anything untill it is affected.. and later starts talking about war, terrorism etc etc etc and destroys it.. This patern continues.. it again creates another group or element and then allows it to destroy peace in the region and when it gets affected destroys it... this pattern again continues.. blah blah blah blah in an endless while loop....

For example consider The taliban(osama), now Sadam(iraq)..... So enough is enough.. why cant the US shut its ass and stop creating trouble in this world.... Now bush speeks of the innocent people who were killed in iraq by sadam to test his weapons.. what happend to all this feeling at the time it happened when Iraq's relaion with the US were good... it was the US which provided him with the technology to develop the weapons... US talks about humanity, peace, human rights etc etc etc etc only to its disadvantage.. but dosent care a bit when its happening to some one else... well agian here Americans might say.. yes why should we bother in others issue.. we are only intrested in our issue.. Then let the US shut its ass and keep out of other country issues.. and first let the US clean its own house... before tryin to correct others..

A prediction on India <- Kashmir -> Pakistan issue.

If the US – Pakistan relation ever gets a bad shape, there is a lot of chance, because seems basically the motto of this two country does not match, at least the people of Pakistan Vs Gov. of USA. Recent election is presenting a scenario.

Anyway, let’s come to the prediction. In that situation, US will take a side and the Kashmir issue will get a life and the road to another peaceful war will be pretty clear. The seed was planted long ago, did not grow enough to see the mushroom. But people of this continent are little a bit different.

ohh.. Anybody noticed? In recent time we do not hear much about human rights around the world.

    Anyway, let’s see what happen.

    In reply to NOVACAINS ?'s

I don't understand why the people here look upon me as a liar. I believe its because our whole society has probably gone to hell in a hand basket. I remember when integrity meant everything but times have changed. These kids of today, no integrity what-so-ever.
Anyway, I do have integrity son and i don't have a whole lotta time to explain to you what that definition means but i will give some details so I can make you eat all that nonsense you speak

    >How can you be European and from the US? (re read his posts)
I was born in Europe and my family fled to America when I was young due to a certain dictator. Thats all I will say about that subject. Anyway, I am proud to hold the title of an American even though I have the heart and blood of a Euro! I love all humanity and depise anyone who wishes to take freedom away from others. I know what its like and its not humane.

(Where were you stationed? Name the radio station?)
I was stationed in the dessert, Prince Sultan AFB, I was one of the lucky ones. Anyway , I started out in the core as an infantryman later I recieved a commision in law. Sorry, I don't really listen to the radio or watch television much at all. Even back then all I thought about was getting home to my wife and kids. Anyway, i have traveled many places, my favorite were Egypt, Spain and Italy. The one thing I could tell all of you about the dessert was those damn sand spiders. HUGE! I can't really devulge very much information like the missions or the cities of the places I have been. National Security prohibits it. So, NOVACAIN, I ask you have you seen the dessert other than TV.

Don't know if this post is a good idea. Still angry that they blew up Bali. 10% of my home town spend their vacation there each year. I have been there half a dozen times and know the clubs.

    >>I do have integrity son

Its hard to tell and I tend not to believe what strangers tell me.

I do not believe you. (and if you were in DS you are younger than me, so don't call me son).

    >>I can't really devulge very much information like the missions or the cities of the places I have been. National Security prohibits it.

    LOL! This says it all!

Most vets know the armed forces radio station, Lord Haw Haw, Tokyo Rose ect and all that.

    >>So, NOVACAIN, I ask you have you seen the dessert other than TV.

I live in one (a 'desert' that is, not something you eat after the main course).
