    stupid computer lab lady...

Was working on a website for a thing at school with someone, and man the computer lab lady whatever she does is such a b****. She was threatening me that if i didnt get some 'parnet permission' form turned in, allowing me to ahve the site posted, then she would delete the whole page and everything from the harddrive on the school network. Then we went in to the computer lab to get something, and we were leaving, the teacher says we cant go out through the close door, makes us walk all the way through the library and back out the other doors. shes soo stuipid! and she doesnt know the first thing about computers, dont even know how she got hired.

Welcome to life. This won't be the last person you meet who you think is stupid.

yeah guys... there are reasons they do that, and whether they know it or not stops mattering... even though you wouldn't necessarily cause harm, unfortunately policy is usually not in the interest of the individual, but the group as a whole...

She's just doing her job. Leaver her alone and get the damned
pf for her. Then you two can be friends.

I don't see the issue...you can do so many things besides b*tch here:

    1) The most obvious - get the permission slip like rick said
    2) Talk your way to what you want. I do it al the time. Just sit there arguing, but try not to yell or anything. Just say something along the lines of "Fine, can I at least upload this to my website at geocities first?" If she says no then ask if you can save it to a disk. Show it to her and show that there's nothing bad with your website, either. Try anything you want to talk your way through it. Lie if you have to. "Oh, but this is for <insert name of some teacher here>" I dunno, I'm good at talking my way to what I want - I'm great with arguing this might not work for you, though...
    3) Hide it from her. Either in a hidden folder/file or across the network drive (I always save my files I don't want my programming teacher to find in a media center computer right under their noses! ) This is something you might want to do sort of as a backup (in case sweet-talking doesn't work) or as a last resort if all else fails

One of those has GOT to work...But rick's right, it's just her job...find a way to go right under her nose so you don't have to deal with her anymore, and let her get on with her job policing everyone ELSE...The computer rules at my school don't seem to apply to me - I can circumvent most of them.
