Normal Topic 4: If you had a homosexual boss in a programming job how would you feel?

....Not trying to rub anybodies feathers backwards or anything like that. Just curious. I made this topic to retrieve some response on this situation just to please my curiosity. No topic deletions please. Let the posters speak out.

strange topic. I've worked with homosexuals before. Some were great, some weren't. I find the ones that act all flamboyant(sp) to be really annoying though. I don't think being gay should immediately mean you have to act like an idiot. But those who just act like regular people I have no problem with. but....

Just work on your game already!!!

That's like saying "If you walked past a homosexul person one day how would you feel?". It's pointless. You should ask what you mean instead of dancing around it, "Do homosexual people make you uncomfortable?" is probably what you meant. My answer is no, I couldn't care less about someone's sexual orientation. This isn't a flame BTW, I'm just letting you know that a question that seems to hide the real question makes me wonder about the person who asked it.

I couldn't agree more! It just reinforces a negative stereotype.

I stay away from the flamboyant ones. They are scarier than the I.R.S!!!

    A normal topic?

Well Ive never had one, but I guess I dont know how I would feel until I do. As long as he doesnt act that way in front of emplyess I think I would be fine.

i really don't care about sexual orientation,... it's none of my business what/who you want to have sex with.

but when people bring it up in conversation (i.e. "i had the best sex with ____ a few days ago") i think it's down right rude.

if he openly cam out and started chanting he was gay i would be out of there... if it was only suspected i really wouldnt care but once he brings it into the workplace i would be gone...

    A) If this is a normal topic, why does it have to be preceded by "Normal Topic".

    B) Why are you asking this? This is equivalent to asking "If your boss was very strong, would you be uncomfortable?" Being gay is just a trait, similar to eye color, strength, ect. People make way to big of a deal over it.

I don't think being gay counts as a trait. You're not born like that. Being gay is a life style, you just happen to like it up the ..........(well, thats what homosexuals do right?)

okay...if they are flambouyant enough that I know about it, then I have a problem with it. If I don't know about it, then I can't have a problem with it, so...basically, if I knew he was gay, then yes, I would have a problem with it. Don't flame me, any of you that believe in the Bible...it says to stone gays to death upon sight...I believe that I am being lenient with them here.
