Thread: I have a question

How did my post get in the middle of this thread?

LOL, I can see the future, I posted a reply before I knew what you're going to say

PS. Something defently is wrong with this board.
Kermi or webmaster. Is the time correctly set? because it is now 23:37 CET and the posts says I posted at 8:33 pm!!!!

    That is the case.
I too know who he is, and I must say. I'm 100% behind Troll-king.
His posts really made me laugh (and what is wrong with a good laugh)

There is a real nice saying in English:
If you can't stand the heat, then get out of the citchen.
If you can't take some flaming(sp?), what will you do in real life? there aren't mods in real life you know

    >>if you don't want to spend alot of time on this board THEN DONT BE A FRICKING MOD. IT'S THAT SIMPLE.
Some people do have lives outside this board
yup, but if they cant spend enough time of their life moferating then they shouldnt be a mod. there are mods in real life. they're called police. trollking makes you laugh alot of times at other peoples expense. he is soo stupid that most people would just shake their heads and deem him "immature" but he seems to be accepted and encouraged here, whereas he would be at least warned elsewhere. that shows a community of lazy mods and uncaring liberals.

Yes, but you'll notice that police arent free......you pay a lot of tax for that privilage.....

If you want fulltime mods you would have to pay for it.....so come on....how much cash can you spare?

This is the exact reason that a harsh lockdown on people, posts, and generally stupid posts is pointless. The community knows that he or anyother flamer/jerk is just making a fool of his or herself.

This is why do we need to point out that the people who have the time to mod full time are generally out of work and school and therefore may not know all that much about programming, nor share the same values as the elected mods do, and more importantly the Webmaster who owns the site because Fordy did pointed it out to you in a much funnier way than a direct response...

As for the person who caused this thread specifically....I can tell you quite bluntly that he knows full well that I have very little respect for him personally, and I won't speak for them, but I'd be suprised if any of the other mods have much respect for him either.

whereas he would be at least warned elsewhere
What's to say he isn't? I'm not saying he has been warned either. But mods at cp.com like to make as few ripples as possible in general...once again we like to "have a light touch. "

Oh and by the way I don't go full time for anything less than 30$/hour, 25 full time.

Oh and I should point out again that the best way we can come close to 24 hr mods is when people use that: Warn the moderator's button on the bottom of all posts.

And I'd also like to ask, mostly because I'm curious, what other community (online message board etc) does anyone know that elects all of its own mods?
