Advantage to having IP-only access to the boards...

There's a huge advantage: It's keeping the newbies out like nobody's business. Why, I'll bet we could even have a civilized, intelligent conversation here - for the first time in God knows how long. But I'm too lazy to start one.

sorry, couldn't help but notice that the unregistered below has a signature...the signature of a member here, toaster. Just thought it was weird.

Oh, and BTW, I would think that some of these 'uncivilized, unintelligent newbies' would just flood other forums like FD (but that's not that big a loss now, is it )
This is my signature. Remind me to change it.

This weekend I have managed to finally complete Max Payne (Sat dormant for quite a while) as well as almost complete Blood Omen 2..........

I have also managed to read a load...........

Wouldnt have managed without the boards being caput!!!....maybe we should shutdown regularly every couple of months.......just so I can get things done on the weekend

eh... he just faked the signature thing with a couple underscores and a comment about a toaster.

let's see... should i start a masturbation thread on this forum, too?

or maybe i'll just ask everyone this intelligent topic question:
do you believe time is a 4th dimention, without a definite beginning or end like the other 3 dimentions? or is time pretty much undefined for the future and discounted for the past?

I actually managed to get half way through Knuth vol. 2 today because Cprogramming was technically offline. Of course, my boss was not particularly happy about my sitting in the break room for 6 hours straight reading a book.

    >or is time pretty much undefined for the future and discounted for the past?
The best theory for time that I have seen is that of the multiverse where every moment in time is its own universe and every new moment creates another universe. It seems far more reasonable than our own primitive perception of "time" being the reality of all that is.
