    anybody know anything of the W32.KLETZ virus? i dont think i spelled it right, by the way

    No, but I'm sure www.symantec.com would have a whole lot of info on it by now.

    It's KLEZ, and it's the reason my sister is dual booting with Mandrake. Every windows machine in my family's little network got infected by it a couple months ago. There was some free console program specifically targetted at klez that got rid of it though.

    AVG got rid of it on my friends systems with no problem. Stupid little virus anyhow. Basically harmless. It tries to be harmful but its crappy and I've yet to hear a report about it succeeding. It tries to delete doc, jpg, and a few other files on the sixth of every month. Never works. A friend had it for months and never knew it.

    Solution to not get it: Dont use IE. It uses a 'Execute Anyway' loophole in IE if I recal correctly.
