    ratings...

hey all.. I say we start using the rating scale for the threads.

And not based on personal feelings, but more on relevance to the topic that the thread is named for. Whaddya think?

Was it hypocritical to vote no, then rate this thread?

Yeah, but I voted "no, ratings are pointless", and then rated the thread. Which by my own admission was pointless. Maybe I was trying to make an ironic statement.

I may have voted it lower than that, but I was ignoring your comments on how we should judge threads.

Now, if only I can steer this thread off topic so if people do rate this thread on your criteria it rates even lower...

    erm...

    Aren't holes fantastic?

    HAHA... damn you!

To all those reading this thread at this point, please disregard RobS's comments from this point forward. Holes are not fantastic, they are boring and should not illicit further conversation besides the idea of ratings.

I don't see the point of it. How can you rate half the .......... that get said here as 5 stars? It's all going to be 1 or 2 at best.

But it's entirely subjective value judgements, what floats my boat may sink yours and with only knowing the average of all the anonymous people who rated the poll doesn't tell anyone anything. We'd need to know who was giving us these opinions to try and make any considered judgement/decision on them.

Anyway, holes are great, solid state technology wouldn't be the same without them...

The new judgement criteria are better.
