    Java Doubt

I am a beginer to java.. And i have a doubt.. If any one could help me..

I wrote a command line program to write a file to the disk and it worked properly.. Then i tried to write a note pad applet.. When my applet saves the file... it shows no errors.. but the file is not created.. This is happening only with applets.. Does anybody know what is wrong...

Applets don't have disk access. It's the purpose of applets to be safe and don't damage a user's computer. Though you don't damage anything with your applet, it still has to comply to those restrictions. I wonder why you don't get compiler errors.

When in doubt, read the FAQ.
    Then ask a smart question.
