I think Iron Maiden is a metal band but they sound more like rock to me.

    My favorite groups are:
    Bad Religion
    Metallica
    Iron Maiden
    Pantera

Do John Williams or Howard Shore count as classical music?

I don't know if it educates, but I've read that baroque is good for thinking. The rythm of baroque seems to be like the rythm of the beat of your heart.. or something like that. Anyway, experiments have shown that thinking is improved when listening to baroque.

Currently in the Netherlands, reggae is coming up now and quite popular. I like a lot of styles, but reggae sure is one of my favourites.

    >If so, what's it like in your country?

A few years ago, there was a "music"-style which was called gabber. It seemed to be quite popular, never been to gabber parties, I don't like gabber. Gabber was in large partytents, but club is only in the dancing-halls and discotheques.

Rock is only a genre under which heavy metal is just a style.

Well - I am an absolutely mad fan of The Cure.. but I like a wide variety of music, so i have everything from The Beatles to Tool in my collection..

But one thing I am enjoying right now is Ladytron's album 604. (not "The Ladytron" - different bands..). It's like Kraftwerk meets Moloko.. or something, I am having a hard time thinking of a parralel actually.

Best bands playing today are Blues Traveller, Widespread Panic, and Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.

Windows XP consists of 32 bit extensions and a graphical shell for a 16 bit patch to an 8 bit operating system originally coded for a 4 bit microprocessor, written by a 2 bit company, that can't stand 1 bit of competition.

Something slow on the cd player would do me great while writing programs.... or when my brain is in busy mode....

While relaxing, (brain in idle mode) I'll prefer either slow or just rock...

How about: "Obnoxious nasal wannabes"? ... Okay so I own two of their albums... But in my defence I own two of everybodies albums.

One of the best of all time. Oh: See 'Out Cold'. Definatly one of the top 3 funniest movies I've ever seen.
