    Profile of a coder

after careful analysis of the polls, i have consructed a psychological profile of a programmer.

    Coders prefer caffinated non-alcoholic drinks
    Coders prefer whiskeys/bourbons
Many coders appear to code late at night
Coders prefer to be the car in monopoly and prefer board games involving planning and cunning.
Coders seem to prefer violent films.

Not just board games - anything that makes you think, hence the brainteaser thread...

I also would prefer beer over whiskey (yes, American beer/water - whatever you wanna call it)

    thimble?

The car, the boat and the hat are all in some way representative of money, what does the thimble represent?

The thimble represents a yearning to return to the safety of the womb. It is indicative of a fear of taking chances. The thimble will never buy boardwalk or parkplace.

The thimble prefers to build homes on St. James or quietly collect utilities.

The thimble is often associated with severe psychosis and a desire to lash out. It is a well known fact that the kids who killed all the people in columbine regularly fought over getting to be the thimble.

    there is still one question....
for the people under the age of 30....
is it true that programmers cannot find a girlfriend
    easily?

    no offence!!!!!
i am not a programmer and i did not have many
girlfriends, so it is not like i underestimate you.
    just asking!

    nope...

Not to sound arrogant or anything, but there's just no other way of putting this:

I dunno about you guys, but I tihnk that stereotype is all wrong. I'm told that I'm avery attractive person, my personality is great, I'm very social, and women tend to like me...a lot. Most of my friends are women.

    So to sum up:

    stereotype != TRUE

and what do you mean your not a programmer? care to tell us why you hang around here?

Coders will argue until they've forgotten what it was they were arguing about.

the thimble, for me, represents the geometrical balance of the universe... it it smooth in the hand, and a fine coarse tread along it's axis of rotation...

To me, the thimble represents the existential universe. Sure, if you look at it flipped over, it looks nice and safe, but if you stand it up like a cup, you realize all the fullness and wonder are gone. There is nothing left inside.

Coders will argue until they've forgotten what it was they were arguing about.
Will not! Read Chapters 1-15 of the aformentioned books to see why you're wrong. Oh yeah, stealth's a stupid nickname, and I bet you've never even had a friend, much less a gf! **** you, you ****!

j/k of course, what were we fighting about?
