    IDE optimization

I know that this is corny, but I'm tired and bored. You know how the IDE causes tokens to appear in blue (for MSVC++ anyway), I was wondering if their was anyway to set it up so you can have other things, such as classes, structs and functions to appear in different colors?

Usually IDEs have a seperate thread checking the text for predefined keywords......if it finds one it chages its colour....

I guess M$Word does the same with its spell checker ( but this is slower as it has to check against a huge dictionary....not just a short list of keywords)
