Ok...I've seen how many posts there are about how America sucks, but I want to get an estimate of how many peole hate this country. Just curious, that's all.

I seem to be the person who started the "hate America"-threads, I do dislike some of the American political issues, but I don't hate the American people or the country in general. That's why I will vote No.

what's wrong? Embiggens is a perfectly cromulent word.

    Voted No.

I sincerely dislike the bush administration and the warlike country they are making of US.

My main problems with it are:

    1. The possible attack on Iraque and the creating of the cartoonish evil axis.

    2. The stepdown from the international.. dang! forgot it's real name now... war crimes court... you know what I mean.

But that does not make me hate US. It saddens me to see such a political power in the White House that was elected by a people I know didn't want this kind of ruling. In fact way before Bush got the seat, it was already a general consensus among many americans that those were the worst elections in many years with just those two clowns (Bush and Al Gore) to share votes...

US is way more than it's president. And this one clearly has nothing to do with what America really is...

I don't hate anybody. Not Americans, not the terrorists. I understand both their points of view.

I am angry that a country, that is a superpower, would act in such irresponsible manner. I beleive in social obligation to those less fortunate than yourself.

America has lost sight of it responsibilities. To save jobs in the US in the short term it is prepared to sacrifice the environment and condem third world to poverty.

US farm subsidies = US$330 billion
total Aust GDP = US$470 billion
Total African GDP = US$650 billion / year (thats all the countries in Africa total income for a year, of which US$170 billion is South Africa, US$110 billon is Nigeria.

My country is not perfect, far from it.
Take the Timoreese fisherman lost at sea for two weeks. Washes up in the Northern Territory, dehydrated and starving. When found by the police they don't take him to hospital, they take him to jail! Why? Because he was an illegal immigrant!!

Difference is, no one cares what we do.

why doesn't this poll have a "as sure as i was born" option...
even a "of course" option would have been nice...
