Why would it be nescesarry to have "lived on both sides" in order to protest unfair treatment by America?

That's actually the first I've heard of that particular incident. Odd, I guess US news didn't feel like running it for some reason or another...meanwhile they keep running that missing 14 year old story 24/7. But we're so nice we decided to make it a tradeoff: "On Monday, four American soldiers were killed while blowing up unexploded rockets, also near Kandahar."

    >>2). he snubbed canada by travelling for a trade mission to mexico on his first presidential trip, recall that every other president travelled to canada first...<<

Just how oversensitive are you? Lately research has been showing that Mexico will become a superpower (err...something like this, I've seen it on the news a few times), so we needed to improve relations with them. You aren't our only friendly border country.

    >>5). most candians view him as being an uneducated southern hick

There's a reason to hate him obviously you've never MET an uneducated hick. Although I'll admit, I think he's not the brightest bulb in the box, and his speech write should be shot in the head multiple times....with a rocket launcher.

    >>6). he called mexico the most important trade partner for the us when infact canada is...

Perhaps he was thinking about the future. Just because he's trying to sweet talk Mexico into loving us doesn't mean that we're snubbing you or anything. Good God.

    >>8). he will not allow the civilian who dropped the bomb to be interogated by canada, the civilian will most likely not stand trial <<

Which is just speculation....woohoo, we've got the "international court" deal happening all over again. Perhaps the information that there was canadian live fire exercises happenning in that area never filtered to his base. But then again, that's what the investigation team is going to find out, isn't it?

    >>a 1000 pound bomb

    500. And you enjoy saying "civilian" to make it sound more degrading, but he's airforce reserve...

The problem is, most other countries think all of America is like what they see on the movies. My granparents still aren't talking to my Mom because she thinks everyone here is a fat slob and fits the characteristics ofa ll those redneck jokes! Well I can tell its a whole lot better than that, and it's even better than South Africa? I don't know why. Maybe it's something to do with the fact that the night before we left, we had 17 gun shots put through our windows and had everything valuable in our living room stolen. Maybe it's just me, huh?

"The problem is, most other countries think all of America is like what they see on the movies. "

Sort of like how Americans think we live in igloos and have pet beavers? But anyway, I don't get mad at american people but at the government and the country, and anyway, you're the people who control almost all our tv so what are you complaining about?

actually i live in america. i've stated this in posts before but personally i love the country that is america. It is our government and what we stand for that we hate. Keep in mind that they say they stand for is nowhere near what they truly stand for. I'll steer away from the constitution to try not to make this a big debate. America was meant to be set up as a democratic capitalistic society. Democratic we partially are. True we can vote, which partially helps out but the only ones that they really truly count are the ones that the people in office put in (electoral balots i think). As far as capitalism goes, we are in the state that we do nothing but **** the poor and hand everything to the rich on 30karat gold platters. Trust me, i've seen and been on both ends of that . Great example. In the corp that I work for, the vending machine in the workers side yeah you know us low/middle classers who actually have to work to attempt to survive, has for instance in the vending machine a 60 cent candy bar. go to the corporate **** side with all the guys who have to hire people in to push the buttons for them (cough cough ceo hack hack) and the same candy bar is 30 cents. hmm i make a whopping 20,000 dollars a year. the ceo make a whopping few million. but yet his candy bar is cheaper. that's america for you.
