i hate it when people talk about BASIC, Visual Basic, QBASIC, FirstBasic, PowerBasic, etc. as being diff. languages...they are all BASIC compilers....the language is BASIC....not anything else...

ye strue all those are jsut BASIC but you must learn to do each kind of language differentyl even thoug each uses "BASIC". like Macromedia Flash and Javascript are pretty much the same, but just becuas eoyu know Aciton script doesnt mean you know Javascript vice versa. so they still can be different languages.
excuse my typos

When I was like a few weeks old, I would manipulate, almost "program" in a sense, my parents to give me food by crying.
In most instances of Compiler vs language I would side with you. But BASIC went through so many changes with each new release of a scripter that it was practically a new language. Its was like C and C++. GWBasic scripts would run on a QBasic scripter but not vise versa. QBasic on a QuickBasic etc. And so it went on down the line. They were different (though I hate them all equally ).i hate it when people talk about BASIC, Visual Basic, QBASIC, FirstBasic, PowerBasic, etc. as being diff. languages...they are all BASIC compilers....the language is BASIC....not anything else...
