    >Arabian countries would just come into the Netherlands and
    >take a prisoner... without warning. The US is informing the ICC
    >that they reserve the right to come get their people with military
    >might if deemed necessary.

Yes, but maybe I don't understand WHAT the US would do in a military way. In the media people spoke about an invasion, if that is what the US troops would do, then do would meet the Dutch troops preventing foreign troops from operating in our country. So I guess the word invasion is used incorrect.

    >We cannot be grouped together. We are individuals... and are
    >certainly at odds with eachother most of the time on policy as
    >any democracy is.

I must admit that I was too much generalizing. In future I'll have to make difference between the US government and the US people.

    >The nicest, and dare I say truest, thing you have said yet.

Well, I can be nice. But if a lot of peoplem, not all, start shouting without making clear to me what their point is and just tell me that I'm a complete idiot, then I can't make any sense of it. I learnt a lot from elchulo2002 who shared his point of view and explanations with me in a clear way.

    >GB is the only country out of Europe (at least that was reported
    >by the american press) who contributed a large partt to ground
    >war operations against the taliban and al qaeda. the only ones
    >that actually fought for us on a significant scale and didn't start
    >crying when the bombs started falling...

If the US wants to fight the Taliban and Al Quaeda by a ground war in Afghanistan and if GB wants to help with that ground war, that's fine. But it doesn't mean that other countries should also do.

Al Quaeda is a problem, but you don't solve that problem by starting wars. That will only make the Arabic people believe that the western world is really against them and it gives Arabic countries a reason to attack the western world.

    >>You are a ****ing idiot. Not all Americans but the ones like this one and all the American politicians and the ones with those stupid talk shows (jerry springer, oprah, their guests...) ARE the most stupid beings on this planet (disgrace). I'm hoping that I will never live in such country. It is full of crap. And the president of the USA (that little Texas boy - George Bush), he's the master of stupidity. When I heard it on the news that he almost choked himself with the pretzel I was LOL (disgrace).

Bill Clinton was a man - he ****ed half of the personel in a white house LOL (disgrace).

The main problem the America has, is that it is interfering in every country. America lost a lot of wars and was disgraced a lot of times (korea, vietnam, iraq, somalia, and now the september of 11th).<<
    ----------------------------------

Oprah and her guests are disgraces....? Man that's funny.

And how does choking make someone more disgraceful? I've choked before, I'm sure you have too.

    >>Bill Clinton was a man - he ****ed half of the personel in a white house LOL (disgrace).

Wow, we have 2 whole people making up the white house staff? Amazing, I thought it was more. You really can't judge politics by the leader's personal life. He was actually a great president.

Alright so Bush isn't a genius, but I'd take him over Gore any day.

Now excuse me as my brain pops...

Ok buddy no country is perfect, you country too has it's deal of problems...........

"Slovenia is rapidly moving towards a market economy and seems to have all the necessary instruments for dealing with the problems that this transition produces in terms of organised crime and corruption. Yet, because of its geo-strategic position at the cross-roads of Europe, and its harbour of Koper, Slovenia is accessible to organised criminal activities and it is also a transit country for drugs and arms traffic. Moreover, the new market system has caused new forms of crime to emerge, such as money laundering and insider trading."

No country is perfect ok, so let's not start digging up dirt on other people countries, things why you think that the country is bad, I found a whole article of bad things of your country so please man that wasn't even called for. I am sure you are perfect and never chocked on anything (sarcasm). Well Clinton he is a man an made a dumb mistake, the reason why he was brought to trial is because of the freedom of press we have here, and the fair court system, I am pretty sure that a president wouldn't have gone through all this if it was in another country ( not all contries just some) , but here no one is above the law.

    >>>The loudest voices on the net are probably Americans without a clue of how the world works or how to behave properly to be taken as a serious partner in an argument.

Pobably true... but I am sure you of all people understand that in many cases these people are young and full of fire. A lot of them are biased by the very media that plagues the world with half truths and one sided stories.

There is always another side, and as I stated before... majority elects a politician... that politician may be a good one or a bad one... it may not be known until that politician is in office. This means there are many people that do not approve of governtment activities and that many people change their minds once a politician is voted in.

As an addendum... the presidency (and any political office) is not made up by what the world sees in the media. Solely basing opinions on politicians off of media representation without sound common sense is quite wrong. There is a huge job to undertake, especially in the case of *any* presidency, that has nothing to do with media coverage. A politician should be judged on merit of the job, not the latest purse she is carrying (e.g. Finland President).

Take this thread for example... do you really think anything will ever become of this....? The ICC will do their job well, America will never send any troops to liberate criminals. That is the reality of it. That is the common sense of it...

These are professional people that are being berrated by firery children. It really is no suprise. The real world... the real politicians that sit together at the same table to discuss real events... are not encompassed by opinionated media frenzy.

Half of the posts on this thread, from americans and others, are biased with discrimination and bigotry. They are set to try and win a personal victory to feel good about oneself by pushing the other's nose into the mud. I for one am tired of it...

There is a very real world out there with very real people, and most people as a whole are pretty decent... some are not. I think I am one of the decent ones. I would like nothing better than to visit Germany (especially... my heritage), Scottland, and Austrailia. I would hope that other decent people in these areas would welcome me with open arms as a brother and not as a country affiliation.

I am an American... but I am an individual first and foremost.

I love my country, I love this world... but more importantly... I just plainly love decent people with sound reasoning. We have a lot of decent people on this board, but sometimes the reasoning (even my own) makes me wonder what our fate will truly be.

    >>majority elects a politician

Not technically true in your last election.

Nothing has been said in this thread that hasnt been said before. The voice of reason here is small and apparently overlooked. The list is much too short for comfort: Betazep, nvoigt. The list of hot headed, poorly thought though, posts is long. elchulo2002 and mix0matt , congrats, you have by far the highest points in this category.

As the point of this thread long ago became lost, I have nothing to contribute to it. I'd just be adding another brick to a road that goes nowhere.

The first and last time I get into a stupid argument like this, because at the end you end up being looked at as an idiot.

Don't even sweat it... when Blair (sp?) came onto television the day after and stated the British would help the US in the war against terrorism, I nearly hit my head... I jumped out the chair so high.

It is a great honor to be supported by the UK... and I for one... appreciate it greatly.

The loudest voices on the net are probably Americans without a clue of how the world works or how to behave properly to be taken as a serious partner in an argument. I guess it's a minority, but a loud minority. Maybe other countries filter those people out by making it harder to access the net. In Germany, to get a decent net access you have to have a clue how to talk to people and how to use technology. In addition, you have to speak english to communicate. Those who manage are most of the time quite intelligent people. I guess if everyone in Germany would be on the net, I would be ashamed. We have those kind of people as well. But most of them aren't online, thank god. So if your stupid minority is online, it's easy to perceive this minority as the majority, because it's louder than the voices of those who actually have a clue. Take unregistered as a prime example.

    Talking Reasons...ppl

First of all, the installation of an international tribune is an inevitable element in the progress of the human race, as we are starting to see finally-after such a long time- that we are in the end part of the same global community
and whatever happens in another region of the earth interacts with everything else. And now, thanks to the
internet, this view has suddenly become reality.

Osama and the Al Qadia(sp) are muslims. Does that mean all muslims are terrorists?

Nop. I could not call them muslims. Especially because
they are fanatics. Suppose people would realise by now
that no matter what religion you are, fanaticisim is really
    blind stupidity.

Have a lot of fun people!!!

I've got problems with Great Britain. I just don't see any of the reasons behind their political system. First of all, you can't have leaders born into their positions, and you can't have those people forced into leading the national religion when they don't want to. It just doesn't work. No offense to the Church of England, but it doesn't make sense to me.
