Thread: funding

i have been here for a few years, and although several questions have come up about "who is the webmaster?", nothing ever comes up about funding.

How is this place funded?

did the webmaster just say, "hey! i have some extra money from my job! i am going to register cprogramming.com and make it a free learning source for everybody!"

or are there other sources...

i know the banners probably bring in some money, but i doubt they could fund the site on their own...

i do remember one thread a really long time ago about requests for donations...what ever came of that?

In a word...yes.

Though today, some of the site is paid for by ads (though I'm not sure.)

A while ago we also took donations through Amazon, and I believe we still do. I just can't find the link right now. However, donoations are also promoted for:
